Anyone running the MPI Nytro muffler

Looking for feedback. How much louder is 11db over stock? The weight savings is great but I don't want to ride with ear plugs. What is the "quite core" inside it?

I bought a sled with a mpi supercharger earlier this year.I haven't been able to ride it but it has the mpi exhaust.The thing is loud idling or reving it up on a stand.I'm going to cutom fit a stock r1 pipe on that i had on my apex or I will see ho the funds are for the sdr untertunnel.I have a feeling the mpi exhaust will get anoying in a quick hurry.

Would you be able to tell me if there is anything inside the muffler? Is it a strait through design. The sound clip of the shorty was not so bad.

The muffler we offer is more for weight savings, 11lbs is pretty good weight loss. But it's loud! When your on the sled riding its not too bad but if your behind it its loud.

Do you guys have any thoughts on making a quiet exhaust? Noise is becoming an issue for many of the locations now a days. I wouldn't doubt in the next couple of years more locations will have sound limits.

Every 10 decibel increase doubles the loudness of the previous measurement. If the stock exhaust were 80db ( guessing here ) a 90db exhaust will be twice as loud. 100db is twice as loud as 90db, etc. The scale increases exponentially.

On the decibel scale, the smallest audible sound (near total silence) is 0 dB. A sound 10 times more powerful is 10 dB. A sound 100 times more powerful than near total silence is 20 dB. A sound 1,000 times more powerful than near total silence is 30 dB. Here are some common sounds and their decibel ratings:

• Near total silence - 0 dB
• A whisper - 15 dB
• Normal conversation - 60 dB
• A lawnmower - 90 dB
• A car horn - 110 dB
• A rock concert or a jet engine - 120 dB
• A gunshot or firecracker - 140 dB
