Anyone running a Gold Primary on a 1000?

Just wondering if I could get away with this. I know they use to be real popular with the M7's for boondocking. I would think the torque the 1000's have it would be no problem? Thoughts on this?

My brother did - he seemed to like it. I run one in my wifes M8 just because of the smoother engagement with it.

It really gives it a softer start. I just geared down so I'll see how I like it this year.

softer yet

I run a red spring in the primary in mine, and it engages at 3100 rpm, i love it, no bogs and pulls smooth, the tourque of this engine can easily pull it. I do have to run lighter weights because of it to get the top end rpm, but have adjustables in and am running about 75 grams or so.

I run the gold in my 07 M1000 with the 08 3 weight update.
Good for lighter good snow conditions, but spring heavy snow the 75lb engagement is a little too low and slow to get to your peak RPM's for my liking.

If anyone has the Arctic Cat to Polaris spring conversion chart that is floating out there post it, lost mine in a computer crash.

Thanks
