Anyone run SLP Exhaust set with stock clutching

What I've got so far, as far as AC weights is; guys are running everywhere from the stock 73's, to as low as 68's. Wow that's quite a difference sled to sled.

don't pull the shift assist, its doing its job you just need to get everything else in line. Your sled isn't overshifting and then loosing rpm is it. I'm not sold on the mtx's yet, but they did work better than stock with a worn belt and no shims. So who knows. you could try a stiffer spring. I don't care for TI springs either. there is thickness issues.

Thanks for all the input,

Hopefully in a week or two the primary will be reshimed with MTX 71's in there. I guess thats at least a starting point. SLP recomends no weight added for 10K and above. May have to go a 68 MTX.

Its not overshifting then loosing RPM, it dosent pull anymore then about 7500 7600 period. I will leave the shift assist in. The SLP tech implied some concern as I should have been pulling more RPM the way it was set up. His thoughts were the secondary was overshifting because of the shift assist thus pulling the motor down.

Mtx

Were you located Rprecision, I have a set 71's and 68's I don't need any more. I've have friend heading up denver way on tuesday. I will have to pull 68 out of clutch put going to anyway.

Allright,

Heres the skinny.............

The 71's pulled 7800-7900 and was a improvement over stock. I grenaded a belt holding her pinned down the trail.

Changed out to the 68's she was pulling 7980-8050 :) I can live with that !

I havent had a chance to get in any real snow yet, so I will hang on to the 71's I just doubt I will need them.

Thanks Logger you called it !

If they are at different elevations or have different snow conditions it would vary this much easily.

If you are pulling 8050 with the 68's your right where you need to be. Look at the dyno printout from slp, You never stated what elevation your at. I just installed the 65's today for 11k elev. I sure hope i can pull 8050 on a hard pull.
let us know your elevation. RickM

That was right at 11'500 ish

If you use the SLP formula and subtract 4 grams, the 68 MTX's are approx the same as a 64 gram stock weight

So were both in the same ballpark:)
