Anyone Ride Near Pinedale?

So I moved up to Pinedale this summer from Utah. This will be my first winter up here riding. Wondering if anyone on the forum rides in the Pinedale area?

Just got my sled out of storage and still need to do a motor rebuild, but hopefully once I am done I can meet up with someone to show me around areas like Horse Creek.

Let me know.

There are at least two clubs that ride that area that you may want to check out. The Pinedale Snow Explorers (I can give you the presidents # or check in at Bucky's). They do club rides or just get together same as with our club (The Sweetwater Snowpokes). We all ride Horse Creek and the Upper Green (when there's enough snow). The Pinedale club has some rides to Box Y, the Sawmill, riding clinics, ladies ride, intermediate ride etc scheduled.

I'm a (new) member to the Pinedale club and am the secretary for the Sweetwater Snowpokes. My family joined the Snowpokes to meet people to ride with and support the local clubs. The Snowpokes rebuilt the Blind Bull Warming Hut last year, check it out, it's awesome :). Horse Creek is about the closest place for us to ride. It's a great place to ride, but a huge area and if the wind/snow kicks up it can be really ugly.

Also, just an FYI, we are planning to do a Poker Run Feb. 20th in Pinedale. Hands will be sold at Moose Creek Catering and the Upper Green Parking lot. Lots of prizes, and free chilli at Moose Creek, last hand due at 6:00 p.m. at Moose Creek. You can meet a lot of people there too. As a club we are also doing an overnight trip to Alpine, from Horse Creek Jan. 30.

A lot of people ride Horse Creek, so I'm sure you'll hear from more people as well. If you'd like more information, please feel free to email me. Of course we love new members.;)

FYI: "The Place" just south of the Green River parking area is not open this winter. I went by it last Monday and it is closed up tight. A local resident said it will be that way all winter.

Thanks for all the info. I appreciate it. I will probably go down to Bucky's sometime to talk to them more about the club.
