Anyone Rent sleds in Ketchum ?

I am headed out Feb 15th I have some friends who I am meeting to ski but I would rather go ride with them. All I have found so far is tours. ( no thanks)
Just looking to rent a sled for a day. Preferably an M8 just cause I ride a crossifre 8 with a 136. just feels comfortable.
IF anyone knows a good spot I would appreciate it.

I don't know anyone on that side of galena summit, I think smiley creek lodge (in stanley) rents sleds. they are on the net.

I'm in Ketchum right now for work and just checked the front desk and their pamphlet rack.
It seems that the two places that advertise here are
Williams motor sports in Stanley (57 miles north)with guided and unguided tours Phone # (208) 774-2229 0r 774-2257
and Smiley creek Lodge (37 miles north) www.smileycreeklodge.com (208) 774- 3547
you might check around Twin Falls for something as well.

By the way the tamarack Lodge ((208) 726-3344) on Sun Valley road 3 blocks off main have the best rates for a room we could find and the rooms, while not the newest are very comfortable and clean.
From what I can gather the snowmobiling south of Galena summit is pretty limited due to all the greenies and strong ski advocate groups so you would most likely need to head over the summit to get any good riding anyway.

Wanted to add that as of today the snow is real low here. wouldn't want to ride even a rental sled right now. maybe 16" with lots of suspicious bumps very prominent.
Where are you coming from?
might be best to look at riding an hour or better away where they don't have to make snow.

Went riding up north of ketchum today and the snow is DEEP........for the area.....went up to smiley creek last Friday and the snow is deep and bottomless up there and the avy danger is pretty high.....hope it helps

They are getting hit pretty good with snow. I was up there last weekend and the snow was starting to get pretty deep with good coverage.

Yeah I am coming from Vermont. Thats why I don't use this site too much. I am on HCS for the most part.
I wanted to gather the info because I am one of 4 brothers. My Oldest suggested that we tae a trip and that he would pay for it. He has a place in Sun Valley so he suggested it. I am the only motor head of the bunch so I will be boarding with them most of the time but I wanted to throw it out there for an option. Thanks for avy info as well. I am depending on my friends that live there to keep us safe and get the good beta.
