Anyone ran the BMP 900 BB Kit

just wondering if anyone has run the BMP 900 kit

need the pro and cons of it
Will be used primarly in the mountains

and im not looking for cheaper suggestions, cuz the kit im looking at it used

Bikeman has been hot or miss for some of there products. I would steer clear of there products. I would look for an rkt or mpm kit. Slp setups seem to work good also.

my bmp 800 bb motor just went down....exhaust valve looks to of been kissing the piston....only one trip old

Just send the valves to bmp and they will run it on their bench grinder to make clearance for next time but next time the rings may catch on the exhaust port because they opened the port up to wide and high. Ive been down the bmp road with too many customers seen it all blablablablaa

no one seems to make a good out of the box 900 bb for the m7 or the m8
i have the ub 900 and i had to rework it to make it run like it should

when they sent it to me with no instructions and did not tell me to check the clearence on the case so the pistons hit and cracked them called and talked to them and they say i should check that before putting it togher then i found out that they were suppost to clearence the pistons before they ever shipped out
so i dont now if there is a good 900 kit out there

i have install alot of the mpm/rkt kits with no problems and got almost the same power out of them
so i hope this helps

still working on a 900 bb kit for the m7 thats reliable

I have one and have stuck a piston and locked it up once, with lots of deto marks on the piston. I was running there high elevation pump gas set up and I was running 91 octane in it when it went down. I had about 6 week long trips on it before it went down with no problems. Maybe bad gas maybe ran wrong octane (pushed wrong button) who knows.

Now I'm trying to run 50/50 race gas and it doesn't have the power it did and I will be trying to lean it off the race gas again.

BMP has treated me good say what you will?
