I don't know if I'm the only one out there, but I have not had any reflashe's or the warranty rebuild on my 09 D8. Yes it has the mid range bog but other than that, I have had no trouble with it whatsoever. I have just turned it over 1000 miles this weekend. The sled is completely stock, the only thing I have done is changed plugs. Let me know if I'm in for the worst on my next adventure out west or if there is anyone else out there without an update. Ride hard!!!

There is no way i would do the update, just run a splash of av gas with 1/2 oz gallon pre mix to be safer...the update is like cutting the balls off your sled goes from 13.2 comp to 11.5 and nothing but problems

no update

Ya I hear ya on that one! I have been doing the same by putting a little oil in the tank when I fill up each time, seems to be doing pretty well so far. I just clean my exhaust valves more often to keep up with the build up. How many miles do you have on your Dragon?

Yup it seems so far the update is a joke. Most people don't have many miles on their updated motors and still failures are coming in. Polaris can't wait for people to run out of warranty so they can stop the bleeding. I made the mistake of buying a updated sled thinking they had it figured out. Imagine the cost of fixing some of these sleds 2 or 3 times and I'm not just talking top ends. I hate to say it but 1000 miles doesn't mean your out of the woods. Its funny that people are thinking its great if they get 2000 miles on these motors before failure. That's a pretty low standard for any brand. I wish not doing the update was the answer but no ones knows. Sorry for the rant. Back to the topic. Good luck.
