Anyone in Western WA exchange ABS Cannisters

Did you buy new, exchange a empty abs cylinder and get a new trigger what and what again? ABS is the chit and always will be:face-icon-small-win

Do not quote me but there is a hazmat fee of $35 plus regular shipping. (I'll repost real $'s tomorrow) and the cost of exchange through ABS so $40 seems really cheap. If we start doing more and more than the cost will go down. We just started with ABS this year through BRP and ABS.. it is tough because they expire after a couple years handles and cylinders. The dates are stamped in the handles and are color coded..and bottles have a # on them. We do have a few new bottles and handles in stock. We are trying to work out a better exchange program with ABS. so make sure the new stuff you got are new this year. We got some through BRP that were expired when we got them this year.... i'll get you guys more details!

On a second note we just got a huge shipment of BCA float throttles and of packs from BCA and snowpulse.

Hope this helps!:yo:

Just got off the phone with XPSPENSIV, $43 otd, on my way! Thanks again.:bolt:

The $35hazmat fee is not per canister its per package. So dealers that do the exchange for $40 get a bunch of the canisters at once so the that fee is a mute point. Likewise if you have a few buddies that all need them you can split the hazmat. There is no hazmat to mail in your empty canister for an exchange. ABS with the nitro is still my preference and worth a little hassle to get refilled. Having a spare is nice but if your pullin that handle you already f'd up time to let conditions improve.

Does any one understand gas expansion and pressure?Air is not your friend unless you dive but **** Ive only been certd for 30 years!:face-icon-small-coo

Dates on cannister was filled 12-14-12. exp in 3 years. The handle is 10. Which means the # of times the handle has been recharged. 20 times max.

As of this year we now do ABS as well (things do change). ABS is done by exchange comes out to $120 or replace them for $149.99 We have the replacements in stock. BCA and snowpulse are just air refills takes about 20 minutes. We are always trying to carry all of the safety equipment we can.
If we don't have it we will try and get it for you.

Your exchange price has to be a mistake?

I exchanged m/t canister and discharged handle. Received new.

You tube search, abs exchange Norona. Dave is at abs shows how to repack and mentions it costs $40 at a abs dealer.
It's also on BCR in avy section.
