Anyone have this brace on 08 or 09?

A bit sceptical of these products. Does anyone know if the support towers are actually flexing? How do you test this other than with a drag track on a motorcycle dyno. There would be no way to see it by riding with the guard off. I would like to see some proof before bolting on something I don't need not to mention $+lbs

Does anyone have any pictures of these towers tearing out of the tunnel? Still I didn't SEE any evidence of tower flex. Nobody could even claim they can see it, no mention of chassis dyno testing on the XP only "time and time again" After all seing is beleiving! Nice 1000 word essay for a sales pitch though. I will still try someones kit but lets get some real info out there like clutch temps berfore and after.

I did a little searchin and found a couple pics in this post on Dootalk:

It sure would suck to have to replace or patch up the tunnel if it does happen!

XXL I wonder if that will work on a machine that has electric start. The picture looks awfully close to where the starter engages the flywheel.

After veiwing that, I'm sold on putting in a brace. This is the type of info I was talking about. I like to see people back their post not just throw B.S. around.

Just PM me when you want to order and I'll help ya out. :)

There was a fellow on here that had a bigbore in his xp and the tower broke and caused some serious damage. The price is cheap compared to the price of two clutches and possible chaincase damage.

Great part.racewerks secondary strut

I HAVE JUST READ ALL THE THREADS ON DOO TALK AND CANNOT BELIEVE HOW CHEAP ALOT OF THESE PEOPLE REPLYING TO POST ARE.

EITHER MAKE ONE YOURSELF AND/OR MAYBE CONSIDER HOW LONG AND WITH WHAT YOU WOULD MAKE THESE. I AM GUESSING BUT BY THE IMAGE FROM THE REPLIES MOST WOULD FIND IT HARD TO TIE SHOE LACES LET ALONE FABRICATE SOMETHING THAT RESEMBLES A PART.

IT WOULD APPEAR TO ME THAT THESE ARE KIDS WITH ONLY POCKET MONEY AND LIMITED KNOWLEDGE OF THE REAL WORLD. WE LIVE IN WESTERN CULTURE AND WE AS PARTS DESIGNERS MANUFACTURERS DON'T WORK FOR ONLY PENNIES PER HOUR AND WE DEFINITELY DO NOT DESIRE TOO.

$168 OR WHATEVER IS FAIR FOR THAT PART SO PERHAPS ASK YOUR MUM OR GRANNY FOR SOME MONEY OR GET A JOB OR MAYBE EVEN HOLD A CHARITY EVENT FOR YOUR $168 SNOWMOBILE PART!
SORRY BUT I COULD NOT BELIEVE THE RESPONSES.

ATTACHED IS AN ALUMINUM/STAINLESS MUFFLER THAT IS HAND MADE BY ME AND SOUNDS LIKE A LARGE MOTOCROSSER RATHER THAN A SNOWMOBILE AND DOES NOT SELL FOR A DOLLAR AND FIFFTY CENTS --SORRYpeterfireblade@yahoo.com

i think thease products are a good idea, but why have'nt we heard many complaints. 40000 summits sold last year you would think there would be a cry for help. i kept checking both of my 08s 3100 miles between them no problems. my 09 looks good. but i will check it as i go. i don't jump the sleds justlots of good old mt riding.

Did you see the pics of that guys clutches on dootalk? I'm sure he's still running them but they are totally gouged from them hitting each other. I am always sceptical when a new product comes out, like to do research on it before I drop $ I could be using on my family. Seems like cheap insurance to me. Most likely it isn"t going to break but if it does it could cost upwards of 2k to repair. Most likely I won't crash my sled or have it stolen but I still bought insurance. To stay on topic I think that brace looks like crap, something threaded to slightly pre-load the tower would only be worth while IMO. peterfireblade could whip one up from the tie rod and ends off his grandpas JD spitfire. That wasn"t sarcastic either, maybe a bit.

This is the first brace that I have seen that braces the tower in the direction that you don't want it to move, in the verticle plane, the others brace in the horizontal plane. I am no engineer but this brace looks to be a better fix, maybe even in conjunction with the other brace, which I already have.

If you want a quality clutch tower brace order from REV4ARUSH. Nice fit and finish, easy to install and Jamie offers great customer service.
