looking for pics of the tunnel block off plate, and seat config on the mountain mod fx nytro mtx under tunnel exhaust set up seat. i have seen the pics on the site but they are not showing me the info i need. i have a lincoln county custom under tunnel (non turbo) exhaust. it sticks up alittle over the top of the tunnel. so i am concerned on fit and finish of the seat/tunnel/plate/exhaust. also does anyone have any reports on the mountain mod seats? good or bad, just trying to get a feel if the seat is worth the 700.00 bux. thanks in advance. ski

Murray just sent me a seat base for the new nytro seat.....Where looking to see if we can make it work with the rear mount some how. THe trunk on it is huge....I would think his plate is flat....have you got any pics of the exhaust installed?? His seats and quality are top notch...you wont have any issues there....the base fits perfect...and no snaps...it bolts on thru the trunk. Post the pics....:)

pics of what i got so far....

skid, drop brackets, ice scratchers, hyperfax and under tunnel exhaust. trying to figure out who's seat to use. you can see the angle of the exhaust is unique to help avoid snow injestion from the track in the deep fluff. also you can see my quandry on the tunnel block off plate, with the exhaust slightly higher than the tunnel top. going to try to manipulate the pipe mounts to lower the can in the tunnel so i can use a flat plate on the tunnel, and a flat bottomed seat frame, with storage of course. again big thanks to grapeape for measuring and cutting the rails cause i am a scaredy cat. :D

the skid is awesome looking and ultra light. team2 helped with the purchase of that, sent a few other brothers his way to buy stuff as well.

once i figure the seat and tunnel deal out i'll sleep alot better. than i just need some polishing time, and wait for the snow to come. waiting for our prexmas trip to togwotee is gonna be tough. ski

I forwarded your pics to murray.....see what he says if it will clear....I'll keep you posted Brendon

Your project is looking good!
I put one of those exhaust kit on one of our custom tunnels that has no hole in the top. I had to rework both header and muffler to get it to clear. It was worth the extra work. It sure looked clean.

allen, care to pm me your "rework" ideas? i am dying to close that tunnel off fully. then i can yse a flat bottom seat with storage. LOL!

i have sent several people to you from totallyamaha.com after i bought my Timbersled skid, sounds like a few of them ordered them direct from you or a vendor. great product keep up the good work. looking forward to adding the barkbuster front before the snow flies. ski

Thanks for the help in business.

What I did to the header was ad in a peace that gave it a slight jog down and made the pipe straight with the bottom of the tunnel. Then I had to do the same with the muffler. To mount it I had to make some spacers and used all three mounts that are on the muffler. It sets down of the bottom of the tunnel about a ¼”.
The other thing you will need to do is install a set of small bogie wheels on your upper cross shaft. This will give back the track to muffler clearance that you used up. There is a small snag with that. You will also have to run 8” back wheels (looks like you mite already have them in your pictures). If you do not your track will rub the Mtn. Tamer shock when the suspension collapses about ½ of the way down.
I think that LCC got a good product there but they should somehow make their kit so that you can cover that massive hole in the tunnel; it just makes sense.

do you mean use smaller idlers than the stockers on the rear upper cross shaft? i am not running 8" rears, the pic is a little decieving. with the tipped up rails i should be able to run 8" wheels no problem or smitty is working on a offset axle for the nytros.

man this is alot of work LOL! was thinking of sending the sled to the exhaust shop and have them rebend the header and midpipe area to get the clearance. you dont need much. then use spacers in the mounts to lower it a bit. i dont know what to do LOL! ski

Yes, run the small boges up top.
It might be a hassle but will be worth the effort when it's all done.

Are you back Allen? i called the shop and was told you were gone till the first, Its Brandon Cote by the way!! Glad to here that the under the tunnel exhaust is well worth it!!! Cant wait to see it/ride it.

allen, thought of something.... you said you put this in an aftermarket flat top tunnel. would i still need the smaller wheels on top and 8" in rear, using the stock tunnel with stock front mount location and your drop brackets in the rear? wondering if i might be able to get away with a slight pipe bend, and spacers to lower the exhaust. this should give me ample track to tunnel clearance i am guessing. ski

You can try that; just don’t want the track to rub the exhaust.
I am gone on a vacation and all I can think about is sleds. I think I got some issues.
Brandon I will call you when I get back. I got about a day of fit and finish left on your sled.
