Anyone have a Polaris Razr?

rode one a month or so ago, kinda tippy, i thought, but the 800 sure is nice--i'd get one just for the power--lol

My neighbor picked one up last summer. He made a few loops around the MX track, the stock suspenders didn't do to bad. But it tended to do some scary nose dives, so suspension mods are needed for that kinda riding.
He had fancy azzed wheels on er, that made it a little wider and sharp as hell.
I'll bet he'll have er boosted this summer. He's a fuggin power freek.

They are pretty nice. But if you plan on doing any jumping the axles are pretty weak.

they closed are local riding area because some stupid drunk bastards rolled one down one of the bigger hill climbs 3 feet from the top and one is still in a coma and one crushed their arm. pretty happy about it as you can tell

If you want more room and stability go with the rhino. The RZR out of the box has more power and IMO looks bas arse.

MCXPress has a kit for the Rhino already and i heard are considering a kit for the RZR. The most recent issue of cartwheelin magazine has info on the MCX Rhino.

Take it for what it is, but the yamaha salesman said they are having problems with the Razr engine. I told him he had to be full of it because it is just the 800 twin off the Sportsman, right? He then said it had something to do with where the air intake was, there was dust and particulate getting past the filters and causing premature wear. I hope this is wrong because I also like the looks of the Razr more than the Rhino, and more power is usually a good thing.

There was an update on the VERY early ones that came out last year for the air intake foam and seal. As a dealer, I am only getting one a month this year (Polaris #'s, not mine!), right now I am sold out thru the next two months.

I don't know much about them but you can buy a raffle ticket to win one for $20 or three for $50 from Treasure State Alliance. This is an organization that is committed to work on keeping our Public Lands open to motorized use. You can contact Craig Osterman at 406-788-2399.

I got mine last september, so far i really like it. Granted i came off a 800 outlander so powerwise it doesn't run as hard, but it's still plenty respectable for what it is. As far as it againist and rhino, not even a race. I ride with a rhino alot and his will go 40-42 at best,my rzr will will do 62 with just me in it. The rhino is better if you wanna use it for any kind of work as the box is way bigger and dumps. So far i've been able to go anywhere i could go with my 4-wheelers, might take a couple more swipes as it doesn't turn as sharp but i can get there.
