Anyone had luck with Rx goggles?

Used a clip in set of glasses with ten coats of cat crap on them and they still fogged like crazy. Cannot wear contacts and have had Lasic so I have no other option. Cannot bring myself to go to a full shield helmet either. Has any mountain powder riders had any luck?

What is a Pr.?

I have not tried the scotts, Th ones I have are addidas with a clip in hard frame and thats the problem. Last year was epic so half the time I just rode half blind, enough to avoid trees but I ate the hood a few times from dips!

Another pro-vue user here!!! I have used both the fan turbo as well as the basic and I like the basic one better. The fan batteries died pretty quick as well as having the batteries on the side of my head.

I use them for ATV, skiing as well as snowmobiling and have been very pleased. I usually have to take them apart a couple times a year to clean them, but other than that no complaints. They also will fog up when I am really huffing and puffing when I am stuck or they get moisture in them, but I think any goggle would under those conditions.

All in all, I have been very pleased. I haven't checked for awhile, but pro-vue could update their goggles from something other than the 80's.

buy the cheap Pro vue's from squeal.
Take them to your local optical place and have them change
the lenses to your precription.

I have worn glasses for 35 years.

I would look at SMITH OTG goggles or Scott 89XI Turbo goggles.

Both goggles are for a large face and allow glasses to fit well.

Get a pair of "rec specs" prescription lenses which are glasses with an elastic band to wrap aroung you head. About $50 without lenses.

You can also put some baby oil on the lens to keep the lens from fogging. Baby oil won't burn your eyes. Put some baby oil on a wipe or lint free cloth and carry it in a zip lock bag with you on the trail.

At the end of the day use the wipe to start the campfire.

I just so happen to have some SCOTT 89XI goggles for sale in the swapmeet.

Zeal Optics.

I recommend the zeal goggle - they absolutely do not fog, and they have a Rx option. Look them up on the web. If you want to wear glasses, they actually fit over them, too.
