The parking was brutal.
The Sno-Park road was not plowed so we parked way up on the street under the overpass. It seemed illegal to me but there were a fleet of sledders all along the side of the road & to my amazment there were no tickets given.
Of course when we came down in the afternoon there was a Subaru Outback nuzzled behind every trailer...
Also by the time we came down around 3:00 pm the Sno-Park road was plowed & ready for parking.
Once we got up in the trees it was snowing all day. In fact it was a freakng blizzard up there with zero visability.
Anyway, there's the 411.
If im not mistaken the DOT's plows get stored right by the overpass there dont they? In that big lot right next to the exit and on ramp. Im sure they would'nt want it to look like they are not doing anything...right...PB
No the trails were not groomed - If you even want to call them trails. They were a series of humps & craters & branches. It was the aftermath of a major weather event.
Fordman - The tower was stunning. The snow was up to the roof - you could nearly walk off your sled & onto the roof. The fence was totally buried. Blizzard conditions up there.
It was snowing hard in all the usual play areas & it was the 1st time I have ever hit all those areas & seen ZERO tracks!
The rain only started around the last trail intersection where the I-90 arrow sign is.
Wow... nice to hear that it is still piling up... I marked the power pole in '99.... I'll have to check that out and see if I need to make a new cut on it.
