Anyone going to snocross?

Should be fun....went by the stadium last night and saw the "yard sale" going on behind the riggs. I hope they get some time to dial in the sleds, altitude might make this interesting.

I will be there! The fees are ridiculous, but we may never see snocross in SLC again... Go Tucker and go Cat!

I know of some suite tickets for sale as well $40.

you guys will probably just steal one from MN again just like SX:mad:

Go Levi!!!!!

Matt

So i was just over there today and got to go in a see the track. :) Its coming together very nice. I was also told that the gates open tonight at 4:30 to watch them practice. Then they open around 8 am tomorrow i think. It is a re entry so you can go get warm somewhere else if you need to for lunch. Should be a good time.

What is up with all the fees? Mine were $7.50 on $20 tickets. I wonder if the ticket prices are similar to what the other snocross races charge. You can watch the climbs at Jackson all weekend for $15. The Winter X games are free and the give away tons of free stuff.

Don't park at Lowes

Just as an FYI if any of you park in the empty lowes parking lot just down the street you will be towed.

Yes Rio Tinto Stadium sucks for parking. Good luck finding a spot. There is some open lots just north and south of the stadium. One you can access from 90th south heading east. Just before the subway. And the other one is just west of the stadium on 94th south.

Update on the suite. I received an email saying that all the suites that were left were bought up by the Utah Sports commission, INCLUDING the one that I had reserved.:eek: I called the VP and he is frantically making some calls to see what happened and if the suite will be available. It is a 15 person suite. I have 5 going, so would have room for 10 more. We will have to act fast if it becomes available. I will keep updated on this post.

Well, not good news. No suite available. Lot's of finger pointing, no one taking the blame - bottom line is someone screwed up and we are without the suite. Sorry all.

Rio Tinto needs some improvement. As mentioned, hitting the "Best Available" will not always get you the best seats. Long story short, I reserved seats several days ago only to find better available seats today. WTH? Also, not being a soccer fan I have never been to Tinto before so I called to get some info. The dingbat selling tickets could not even tell me the difference between the general seats, and the club seats. I asked this because the seating chart icon on the "buy tickets" section of the web site, does not bring up a chart. I also asked about the suites, and she directed me to a different number. The guy was more knowledgeable, but still could not give me a straight answer as to the availability of a suite, telling me I should call back later. This event should be a blast, but thus far I am not impressed with Tinto service, or their ridiculous fees.

there fees are crazy but it is at night and probably costs alot to light it all up....
