Anyone Found DET Limits With 100% AV/100LL ???

1500 ft. 11 lbs. straight avgas. No problem! Silber kit. Didn't try any higher boost than that though.
I don't think you'd have problems going higher. Don't know why you'd need to though. It's pretty crazy at these lower elevations.

I've been running 11lbs at 5,000 ft, Twisted Kit w/fresh air no problems. It appears that the MON of 100LL is 104, 2 points below Sunnoco 110 and 4 points below C12. 50/50 C12 or Standard Sunnoco 110 is less than 100 MON. In other words, I am wondering if the straight 100LL is good to about 1-2lbs less boost than most straight 110 race fuels.

95 RXL...those are some decent boost levels for 1500ft. There is 2.1 lbs more ambient air pressure at 1500 ft compared to 6000 ft. Wouldn't your 11lbs/1500ft equate to the same pressures aas 13lbs boost at 6,000 ft?

I'm not smart enough to answer those questions Eli.
I know I have come back from out west and had 50/50 avgas and 91 pump and rode a little bit @ 8 lbs without problems too. But it was just a few miles. I am much more comfortable running straight av gas at home. I have only gone higher than 8 lbs when I was trying to learn how to run the thing.

I run stock gearing. 10-72 weights @ 1500 ft. And whatever Silber put in it for me as far as Springs/helix. You'd have to ask him what his set-up is. I'll have to ask him when it comes time to replace springs. I really don't care how good the clutching is at home. I just don't want it to over-rev. I might put 100 miles on it at home all year. Out west is where I need it to shine!

ok, thanks,

I already know what silber puts in his kit, but it wasnt working out for me at low elevation and I always ride below 4k'.

dont know if your question was directed at me or not but for myself:

jan 2010 map with new updated pistons and head.

Thinking of staying at 7-8 psi and trying mixing 50/50 91oct and avgas to get some throttle response back as I think I may be flooding it with too much octane.

Ran the sled at 12lbs with short bursts of 13lbs at 5,000 ft this weekend with no problems. Fresh air to the turbo, though. 12lbs feels good!

800 Twisted, 09 flash, Attitude box, 12.2 wot a/f ratio, 8300ish rpms.

I found the limits of staight avgas! It's the other end then we are talking though. Mine won't idle above 9500' and low end has problems on straight avgas. I am going to try 50 to 50 mix and see if that helps. I have the 2010 update done and compression is 90 a side. I think with that low of compression and high octane at high altitude it's to much octane to cause idle problems and low end problems.

Like a DumbA$$ I used a cheep overseas waste gate on a M1000, it stuck shut:fear:. I did a few short bursts before I noticed the boost gauges needle was hitting the stopper @ 20psi (good thing the stopper was there who knows how much boost it would have made lol):humble:.

Peeked at the pistons with a borescope, looks good, plugs were good, no specs and no broken porcelain.

Straight AV gas and set up to over fuel @ 15psi.:drum:

AV Gas Love the stuff:bounce:
