your loss, my gain. My buddy called in sick, we were the only 2 sleds on the hill. Snow stayed firm most of the day, finally started slushing out around 2:00. Stayed hardpacked on the slopes, no real avy danger. Thank god for north facing hills. what a beautiful day.

Just curious where are the North facing slopes at Baker, as far as I know going to the lookout is the only one. Could be wrong................
That was what I was thinking. I believe most of it is south facing. Right south facing means that you look south when on the face of the mountain.

I'm with ya....next week will hopefully be safer, some of those cornices got huge this year and they are going to come down, we witnessed some huge cracks that got bigger when we rode thursday up at GC. Be safe and smart if you get out there. I think I'm going to hang with the family this weekend, get the camping gear ready for the boy scout campout coming up.
I was in the vacinity part of " baker or vacinity". A little dissapointed in myself, sunburn hurts like a SOB!

the NB crew will be having a meeting wed night and one main topic will be the certification of PH being full of **IT!! We hope to have documentation with proof following the vote. Most of it will be restricted, things you can't even put on the internet are sure to be in the binder.

So, I'm glad nobody had any problems last weekend. I would like to hear everyone was safe then anyone getting caught in an avy. We take all the avy training and in my mind it would be best to listen to the reports. Just my 2 cents.
Sorry I'm an such A$$ just trying to look out for folks. I'm lucky enough to be able to ride every weekend , that taking one weekend off is not that big of deal, although I love the sport that I would love to ride evey weekend.
I'm glad nobody got hurt. It's all good, we got the boat ready and planted flowers and other yard stuff. 3 day weekend comming up, and another Month of riding, it doesn't get an better then that. 4th of July baby.
