A friend of mines track is coming apart on the inside. The out side of the track is in good shape. Hyfax are good, I will get some pics up later

Sometimes an idler bearing will lock up and drag on the track, the rubber get's hot and peel's off the belting
If the area is related to an idler area, might be the problem

I had one of mine do that. Like big blisters all over the inside. Had a couple of freinds that also did the same. Late 90's doo tracks and a cat track. Water/snow would get between the layers of track and freeze and cause them to blister up. Wasn't anything we could do with them other than ride them til we didn't dare and replace them. I haven't seen this though on anything newer than 2000.

I have never no, but a coworker of mine is putting extrovert's on a sled with a ripsaw track because all the center drive nubs are cracked, length wise, so when you get on it the drive nubs just split, causing it to ratchet. Never heard of this till now.

Bad idler wheel bearings are your cause. Seen it a bunch of times. Wears thin and then water does get in and freeze as well. Usually happens when the sliders are really worn and then idler wheel bearings go bad it just compounds the issue. I had a track like this, I put about 2000kms on it then changed it the following off season. Depends how bad the damage is.
