Anyone else notice something about the Republican response the other night?

I was just curious if anyone else thinks that the Republican party is grooming the Louisianna gov. to possibly run in 2012? I'd like to hear everyone else's thoughts on this. Everyone knows the black card helped the wonderful wizzard obama win, just can't help but think that the Republican party will play it too, maybe with Palin as VP?

I'm hoping they can come up with a better candidate than Gov. Bobby Jindal :confused: I have no problem with Palin as VP but we need a serious contender with some old school scruples and ethics for the "big office"! JMO.

they had been talking about him as the likely contender in the 2012 race. Saying they wanted a new fresh face.
However, after his performance there is also talk that maybe they need a different person.

if the republicans run a white dude the next election they won't win.

I could not finish watching that dude speak! My wife laughed at him as well. If that is the best we can come up with, we are in trouble! TERRIBLE! That come across as the most choreographed speech I have ever hear!

I like the Romney/Palin thought as well.

I wasn't able to watch or hear the speech but I do know on conservative principles he is solid as Palin. I would hope he can polish his delivery in the next 3 years. As for Romney his is as well as guliani part of the established good ole boy republican moderate. We need new conservative blood such as Jindal and Palin who can bring new voters into the party as well as not thumbing their nose at the true bible belt conservatives. That was the problem with Macain, moderate put your finger to the wind who ran to congress to help with the bailout while Obama just sat back and said they will call me if they need me. Who do you think showed the most leadership at that moment. Swampy:eek::D

Sorry Coburn is allright but if you want a real candidate from Oklahoma the only choice would be J.C.Watts, if he could be enticed. Swampy:D:beer;

Tell me what you think about this guy.

I like a lot of the things he stands for. A couple I could do without. Someone needs to vett this guy, and see what skeletons linger in his closet. I think he, along with Romney as VP, would be a great combo.

Tim Pawlenty

Ok, he's a better VP pick than a presidential pic. But the way I figure it, the democrats will eff this country up enough where the republicans could run a monkey and get elected....oops....:D

Ron Paul........it will never happen but I can dream.

The media is scared to death of this guy because he sees right through them.

Join the Ron Paul army my friend...we have a decent following at college here. Watching some debates before the election, when Cooper told the audience not to make noise until afterwards, all the Ron Paul fans still cheered and screamed after each time he spoke. Several were kicked out!

I'm a fan of Romney as well, but I don't think he's gonna be what we need to bring new voters to the Republican party. Romney/Palin would be a great team, but I don't think it would be enough to get elected, enough of the good ole boys, we need new blood to generate some interest in the Republican party again.

Oh yea, just wondering if any of you guys ever go to www.redstate.com cause that site has been mentioned quite a few times on Fox News, they're trying to get the grass roots movement up and running for 2012, some good people on that site with some good ideas.
