anyone eliminate dpm on '04 summit

can you eliminate the dpm on the 2004 800 H.O. I'm wondering if you can use the module without the dpm and just use the right main jet size for your altitude. Also, my sled is just sucking down the fuel and I'm wondering if the dpm is stuck on and staying too rich.

Took mine off my 04. Worked just fine but I dropped about a 100 jet sizes.

i would say leve it on the sled it dose need it and will run like crap i have riden skidoo all my life and work at a skidoo shop your carb are not set up to not run a dpm if everything is hooked up right should have no problems i had the dpm hooked up wrong on my old sled and after i fixed it and hooked everything up right sled ran way better in hi elevation

My 04 started using a lot of gas this year I checked the temp sensor cold and warm and it is changing resistance. my dpm valve measures 50 ohms which it should. The altitude compensator is in the mpm and haven't had it checked yet. When I was in ID. I changed down to 350 jets and my plugs were still black but at least i got a little hp back. I was using twice the gas as everyone else. The dpm valve does not start woking untill 4000 rpm and you can faintly see it working if you take it apart. 2years electronics and 35 years experience helps.

You can remove it and it will work fine. You need to reroute some hoses on the carbs. I use powerjets for fast adjustments of the main.
