I've never sledded up there, but the high avy risks have me and my fiancee looking for less prone areas and I was wondering if anyone had been up there yet this year and what it is like? Where's a good place to go in off the main road, I think its Chwk lake road?
Anyone been up to Chilliwack, Cheam etc?

Your much better off going up to the coquihalla if you are takeing someone newer to the sport out rideing. I have never sledded up there but have drove in as far as one could in the summer and hiked in aways, a beginner no novice and expert riders yes IMO.

Please don't use cheam/ chilliwack lake for sledding
The provincial govt is on a sledder witch hunt right now. There are land use commission hearings going on right now in BC. The non motorized lobby is trying to get sleds banned from a lot of areas. The chilliwack river valley is one of the most contentious areas. Cheam is also on the radar screen . Use some more traditional ares so as not to inflame the other lobby groups. Just my take on PR. I may be wrong but they {govt} are on a motorized recreation witch hunt right now.
