I feel like I'm paying WAYYY too much with allstate. 02 duramax is $1500 a year. Sled is $500-600/yr, plus i have home owners insurance. Was told by adding my home my truck rate would drop about 15%, but instead it went up almost $200/year.

What do you guys recommend?

i know american family insurance is really cheap for sleds and trucks maybe give them a call?

I have everything I own through State farm. They may not be the cheapest, but they stand behind you when you need them. I pay 180 a year for full coverage on a 05 warrior, with a replacment value of 6500. My boat is 65 a year for full coverage with a replacement value of 3500. Maxdlx

I see you are in Washington- you might try these guys: http://www.mutualofenumclaw.com/consumers/consumers.htm

I switched a couple years ago after State Farm was sticking it to us over a freaking 1985 Honda Accord. I bought a cheapy little commuter and they wanted $110/mo for min. state requirments on it. I have a spotless driving record for the past 19 years. I told them what are they insuring? Me? Im spotless. The car? Yeah its a $600 car.

So I was all pissed off and looking to switch- but have a couple toys- ATVs, sled, RV, etc, so I was worried about who could do what. So I shopped around and a friend recommended Mutual of Enumclaw. I saved over $120 per month thru Mutual of Enumclaw over St. Farm- even adding the hoopty Honda. We pay around $230 per month for the house, 3 ATVs, 1 sled, one RV(weekend warrior), my dirtymax, the wifes Trailblazer, and the hoopty Honda. I like that they are a regional company- in my mind at least Im not paying for Katrina or some other BS like that across the country. Mutual of Enumclaw has been around a little while....I think like 1898!!!

$1500 for 1 pickup??? Wow!

I've got a 00 F250 and a 00 Pontiac Bonneville and it's only $840/year for both, full coverage and I even get my rock chips fixed for free!!! Sleds are like $25/year for liability and homeowners runs close to $800/year also. Been with AMFAM for about 15 years now and have had a few claims and they've always settled up right away and fairly.

speaking as a young(24) guy....GO with PROGRESSIVE!!!!

Even before a dui they were 500-600 cheaper then everyone else. Still the best after a dui as well.

american family is good. 240 yr for summit. totaled mine in march and they gave me retail value plus tax and money for new top end that i had just replaced the month before. but the accident wasn't my fault, and the other guy had no insurance. crew cab chevy 80/ month avalance 60/ month

I wa swith allstate for 28 years and just made a switch to state farm. Overall savings of 400 every 6 months. Allstate never even batted an eye when I cancelled. Should have switched years ago

I've got allstate and I have had such good luck with claims I won't switch, I wrecked a sled several years back and had the check for it within a week. I'm sure I could find cheaper but at least I know they take care of me. I was also in a accident with a brand new f350 in 04 and they did not raise my rates.

Ever checked with and Integrity Insurance agent? I saved a pile over Progressive with my checkered driving record but I didn't have a DUI but plenty of wrecks/tickets. Great service too.

I'm with allstate and sticking.
They did piss me off when I traded my 05 ram in for an 07 ram and the premium went up $700, but my agent lowered some of the limits and got it back within reason.

Reason for the stick is:
Great customer service. I know my agent personally, and can call anyday and ask questions, or have him change something.

Wrecked my 07 M8 last season, and allstate wrote me a check for $8500. I bought the sled back for $1100, and purchased an 08 M8 off the showroom floor for $8600. I knew all along that I was drawing a long straw here, and the claims adjuster acted like they were ripping me off, very apologetic, and going out of his way to make sure my life wasn't too disrupted by this. I played the role, but was smiling ear to ear when I left with check in hand.

Never heard of them but I will check.
