i'm going to be going out to the 320 guest ranch in the Gallatin mountain area. Does anybody know what kind of snow conditions they have in and around that area??
it would be great if you could lend me some info.
There is good snow, bring your longtrack! The F.S. has closed some of the riding areas up Buffalo Horn Creek and Ramshorn Lake behind the 320, however the Big Sky Snowmobile Trail runs through a portion of this closed area and the trail is still open. You can get the new maps online at http://www.fs.fed.us/r1/gallatin/?page=/projects/osvum or at any Gallatin National Forest ranger station. For the best off trail play areas head to Buck Creek or Taylors Fork or a little closer to Bozo, Portal Creek has some good riding up top.
Just heard that the town of West Yellowstone got 4 feet of new snow last night.....in town and its still snowing....bring your long track and extra gas
