Anybody have issues with track clipped every third?

My camo extreme 156 is clipped every third and after 250 miles it looks like the hifax are burning through the non clipped areas. I was running the track tight on my 08 M8 because of a ratchet issue, but I just figured that problem out. The track driver nubs are hitting my cross shaft for the front shock.

Anywho......... is it melting the track because it was too tight or do I need to install more clips?

Thanks

Do you run scratchers? I don't see any problems on my track (Maverick) clipped every 3rd, and I've cooked some hyfax when forgetting to drop the scratchers!

I put a mav. on my king a couple years ago and it was clipped every third, after one ride I clipped one more between each clip and my drag went away. So now I have one open and two clipped, works good. I just used the flat clips and it spun a lot more free.

See if you can get the lightweight versions with the oval slots in them, And then use drymoly spray on them when the track is spinning in air. They will be real slick and seems to burnish in to the metal after some repeated spray downs. Should really cut down the friction!
