Is BP good for one more ride this Saturday? Is there going to be a lot of gravel to travel?

It should be good. Probably be able to park right at the top with minimal gravel to ride. Here are the pics from last weekend. Clicky
Give us a report if you make it Saturday. I'm thinking about going Sunday if I can get some buddies or can meet up with someone. Also watching the weather, its got to be halfway decent to make the drive. Blackdragon1, are you and your son still planning to ride?
Thanks for the info...BUT think I'm going to call it a year! Was able to get over 1300 miles in this year and not worth taking a chance on one last ride and destroying a sled...Tempting..but NOT! Hope to see everyone later this year and hope for NO AVY'S and safe sledding for the 2009/2010 season and beyond!

weather fell flat on its face sunday ! woke up at 6:45 cloudy, 7:15 same, 7:45 am called w8tn4u2 and the top of his mountain said SOCKED IN BIGGIE ! so i went golfin ..... sad secondary event but its a long way to be in bad weather up there.

i"m goin one last time ! this week looks ify on weather and time i can go next sat for sure mondays out i have to be at my son's swear in at the federal building in Seattle @8am and he's off on a plane to penlton marine base for boot camp!! wow how 18 years flew by. I"m a proud parent of a US marine !!!

I might try to make it up to for one last ride. I will be going by myself, my dad and I usually ride together but he wont be in town... I haven't been up there before but I am going to try to make it if anyone wants to meet up. Brian

So a buddy and I are heading up to BP on sunday morning... I haven't been up there before. Anyone know where I could find directions or could explain to me where to put the sleds in at? Thanks, Brian
Take a left (north) off of 542 Mt Baker Hwy on to Canyon Creek Rd. Follow Y in the road to the right on 3160. This will take you to the snow. Roads are marked with signs. Map
Since you've never been there, a heads up. 3160 is tight, gains elevation quick, and has many drainage ditches and washouts. Small 2 place trailer at the most and plan on possibly having to turn trailer around by hand.
