Any rumors of an OEM snowbikes?

I'm just curious if there is any body in the know of up coming OEM snowbikes. I am on the fence about buying a bike and a snow kit, then to find out that next year they come out with what I want. After riding a turbo sled for years I am wanting more power then the bikes have, with out breaking the bank. If the OEM could come out with a 800 cc with a cvt clutch that would be great. I have seen a couple of builds on here that did just that and looks like it works good. But after building a mini jet boat last winter, I am tired of building projects, I just want to play. But that might be the only way I will be able to get what I want.

Have you tried a hawk yet? Might be what your looking for, if you can handle it.
To answer your question every year we have rumors of oem snowbikes. Still havent seen one.

Um.

Have you seen Arctic Cat's?

I've done the waiting game for an OEM, and it just kept me from the fun of the snowbke.

First I poo pooed over the kit price, and got a sled. Then instead of jumping in on a second hotrod bike build, I poo pooed again after Polaris bought TS and the Cat rumors thinking they'd get something out.

Get not wanting to buy and then have to trade or flip stuff for a big loss in a year or two. But we ain't getting any younger, and life happens while we wait. Or at least we hope it does, there's always the truck to get hit by, or the big C. Lost my ski/sled buddy to cancer, he was 2 years away from early retirement and was always responsible with his money. Kind of changed my thinking on being responsible after that.

Polaris has to have something up their sleeve with the Timbersled acquisition. I think AC just wanted to be the first to offer the package. But I'm convinced that it's more than a snowbike for Polaris. They've done some crazy stuff lately (think slingshot). I think the offering will be snowmobile in nature (CVT clutch, bigger than 450 motor and purpose built for winter temps, conditions).

The issue, in my mind, with bigger motors and cvt clutches is the width. How are you going to fit all that between your legs and still have it rideable and fun? Also their is a safety aspect of the clutch setup when it's that close to you. The build I would love to see is a modded up banshee motor in a bike, but again it gets wide and now we have to fit 2 pipes.

The banshee has been done.

Single pipe.

Heavy and wide at the pegs.

Put the sled motor behind your legs and problem solved.

Do you have a plan to adress putting the rider's feet and legs between anything you hit and the widest bit of the machine?

I had serious concerns with the muffler on my kx450f, and my feet get bumped off the pegs frequently.
