Any reports on Cameron Pass??

Much worse up there yesterday than last weekend. They need snow bad. Trail up is starting to get bumped out, needs to be groomed. Wind blown all over. Hit about 6 rocks yesterday that were all about 4" under the snow. Broke/blew my left trailing arm completely off and bent my lower control arm. Jerry rigged it enough to get out of there. Buff and Snowies are showing much better snow totals right now. Seems these past storms have been only slightly touching the Southern Medicine bows and Never Summer Range...

Looks like the Joe Wright Snotel picked up an inch of precip/foot of snow since yesterday, but ya, drive another hour and hit Buff pass for epic conditions. I imagine cameron is getting slammed by this too though. I'll know when I drive back over it tomorrow!

Will do Todd. I was wrong on the 1" precip/12" snow since yesterday. That has been since last week! Durr! Hopefully something piles up there soon.

Rode American Lks Friday. Not so good, really light bottomless snow with rocks everywhere. The draws are still shallow and the willows haven't settled yet. I would wait for a while, I imagine Baker, Jack park, and ***** Lake are the same.

If you go south of Hwy 14 snows not bad, but stay to the trail till u get up to the lakes but be carefull of the draws up there as they've blown in and have NO bottom. Lot of the tops are bare so watch it.

As of Christmas Eve morning..........

Some of the best days i've had in that neck of the woods is carving up the untouched meadows and logging roads in the Laramie range west of RFL, but ya gotta wait til it's deeep cause it doesn't build base very well. Super dry snow and never warms up! Go up and over the Elkhorn Baldy trail and down into nunn creek basin in March is a blast and close to home.

We need to go ride these areas just as soon as Mother Nature comes through on her end!!

May Baby!!!!!

Rode Cameron Pass today. Unreal! probably 2.5 to 3 feet of fresh. Took us close to 3 hours to get to the top of American Lakes. No joke riders or sleds, just.....i'm actually saying it......too much snow. A few gulley and treewell stucks. Powder wasn't the wet heavy powder either. More on the lines of the rabbit ears fluff of jan. and feb. For May it's unreal. If you got a chance to get up there, do it. The earlier the better, it's probably gonna start setting up tomorrow with some sunshine and warmer temps. My pics are too large or something, but i'd like to show you what the condtions were like.

I new it would be epic up there! Get the pic re-sizer off the microsoft website. Get em below 100Kb and load em up. or put them on photobucket and post the address. I bet it was sweet up top hammering those walls:D

Bad news for everyone else. We rode Saturday. Saw some of your tracks from Friday CSUpowder, but it was all mostly blown back over. Was it windy as hell on Friday or what? snow was great but was in pockets from the wind. Bluebird and calm on Sat though. We absolutely thrashed every bit of good snow up there Sat. Oddly enough the lower valley's/meadows had better snow than up top at the 1st lake. Wind blew all the snow out of the first lake area. Second lake was great. Not anymore though ;) I tell ya, it doesn't take too much to bump out that trail in...

Pretty good in the AM up there on Saturday.
