Any REAL WORLD MPG #'s for Dodge DPF Deletes?

Wondering who has done the delete and seen a big improvement in fuel mileage. Do you also have an intake, egr delete, etc. and what contoller do you run to be code free?

All i have on my 07 6.7 is the juice w/ attitude. Otherwise stock, but wanting to get some fuel mileage out of this thing.

Thanks for the input!!

I have a 09 H&s black maxx with 225 tune, 5" turbo back exhaust, afe intake and egr and egr cooler delete..

Makes amazing power get between 17-19 mpg . no codes or light works flawless. .. tons of options and programing for the bm

You need the hook up on anything look me up.

ive got an mbrp exhaust system for a 5.9 with a smarty and the edge for gauges. my pickups got a lift and 37s on it and yesterday towin five sleds in a 27 ft steel trailer i got right at twelve mpg, hand calc'd, doin at least seventy. not too bad and its got all the power you could ever need. i like the smarty with 5.9 exhaust because you dont have to mess with any sensors or resistors, just take the butterfly valve out of your intake, block your egr, install the smarty, and go. to get a mile or so better right now, just unplug your egr, its on the drivers side of the motor, near your dipstick, its little brown or black cylinder with a connector on it.

I have an 07 6.7, prior to any mods I was getting 14 at best. Ordered an H&S XRT and 5" TBE from Rolling Smoke Diesel, with the EGR delete, and the very next trip I went 156 miles and used 6.5 gallons of fuel. Empty, cruise set at 75. Haven't got that since though. I average around 20 empty on the highway, and 14 pulling a 32' enclosed. Fuel always filled to the top and hand calculated and my OHD is usually in the same neighborhood as my figgers. That's all in the summer though, come winter it's a different story with all the idleing it does.

But, I haven't had a single engine related issue since doing all the deletes, 30k miles ago and prior to that it was constantly going into regen and the exhaust brake hardly ever worked and the power sucked. I just wish there was a mod I could do for the "Dodge" part.

Interesting. I have a couple friends that are claiming 18-19mpg empty hiway with their 08-09 6.7's. Think they're full of sheet. I only get 18-19 with my 07 5.9 during the summer, easy on the loud pedal, empty hiway driving.
What did the whole dpf delete setup (including a Smarty or PPE or something to keep teh codes away, I'm assuming) cost?
This may get me looking at a 6.7!

The whole works cost me right around $1200 shipped to my door. I'd look at the Black Maxx by HS Performance, shift on the fly and gauges built in.

I'm not exaggerating the numbers, I drive 50k/year and watch my mileage pretty close, went through about 5 or 6 tunes to find the most economical and that was actually the 120hp setting but the 60hp tune got me better towing mileage.

Forgot to mention that I also have a Tuned TCM for the tranny which gives it more pressure and improves shifting. Still have the shudder in 5 - 6 and next on the list is a Torque converter (or a new Ford if 1 more thing goes wrong with the DODGE). If Ford made a cab similar to the Mega..... I'd be first in line.

Have an 07.5 with 06 MBRP 5" Back Straight....and a amsrty, throwin absolutly no codes, runs great and get 18 mpg everyday driving, calculatede by hand

Mileage

I bought an '09 Dodge 6.7 just 6 months ago. Drove it home from Idaho and got 16 on all 3 tanks - stock. I have 12.5k miles now and still pull 16's - but will get 19 driving up in the mountains and back - not towing.

Towing a '32 enclosed full I get 14, using 4x4. Derek

Thanks for the input everyone. Looks like this one is a no brainer. Heck i am only getting 12 empty and 8 loaded up with a 29 ft. enclosed. But havent had any issues yet either like some. Knock on wood. Thanks again.

Alan

Stock id get 16. After EGR/EGR Cooler Delete, 5" exhaust, AFE Intake, Smarty 14me SW7, on stock tires id average 24mpg highway. After the 35s i average 19mpg highway.

only reason i havnt done the delete is that im worried about the 5k fine? i know im not in a state the requires any emission check but still 5 gs is alot! is that just me being paranoid?

Yeah that's just you, i know there are some in laramie already. And with all the techers running around with no hoods, bumpers, doors, and whatever other bodypart they are working on at the time i don't think i'd sweat it. Cops got other stuff to worry bout than who meets emmisions. IK lived there for 4 years so i know how it is.

who would have thought my first post is about trucks :D As posted above you cannot beat the H&S Black Maxx. Of course that is my opinion too. I had the XRT and found that being able tune on the fly was important. I also have done the deletes and it runs alot better, 5" TBE, and also run the BG Chrysler tuned TCM. Installed the Black ops diesel wastegate kit from Rollin smoke and it helps as well. Mostly to keep me from any future head gasket issues but it sounds cool to!

milage

Well I have an 08 Dodge DRW four door and when stock was getting 13+ emty and 8 to 9 towing my 28 enclosed car hauler full of 53 chevy. Got pissed at the truck and parked it (didn't really need it after hauling the chevy back to AK) for the crappy milage. Got serious last fall and put a 5" TBE; deleted the EGR; replaced the intake with a WCC unit; added a Fitch Catalyst; installed an XRT programer on the Hot Dam 175 setting; and installed a propane injection system that I don't have a tank for yet. My first pull after a year of setting I had an empty 18' flatbed and a snowy slick road so left it in 4X4 and got 14.5 with 295 hwy and 110 city driving. Comming home with about a 2000 lb load I got 13.5 with the same conditions but with more snow on the road. Doing better and have hopes for more when I get a tank setup for the propane. Doing an empty trip on the same route next week so will report back.

MKM Customs hooked me up with an H&S Mini Max, 5' Diamond EYE TBE, AFE cold air kit a EGR delete, immediately went from high 13/low 14 mpg to mid 18's....2011 Ram 2500 Crew, shorty, 6 spd. manual, 3.42 gears

Do it!

'07.5 Megacab SRW. AFE 4" turbo back w/ straight through muffler. AFE stage (2) cold air intake w/ dry filter/prefilter. H&S EGR/cooler delete and a Superchips programmer. 375 mile round trip to get to the good stuff, (2) XP ski-doos on an aluminum deck. Between 1/8 and 1/4 tank left when I get home. And I drive like an Albertan! Oh... and you can let it idle too.
