Any performance difference between the 16T and 19T MCX kits both mapped to 310?

I talked to Alamo today. $490 to upgrade the compressor to a 19t. $300 more to completly rebuild it so you would have a brand new 19t

Not aware of anything you would need a tig welder for... The only problem I had was getting some of the bolts out as they always seem to get seized and they had to be drilled out.

Wheres the pics of the new ride???

Thanx for the info, I spoke to Alamo yesterday and I think I'm going to send mine out monday.

Got 2 different answers on whether the turbo upgrade was good though.:face-icon-small-con

Vernon Motorsports said everyone that they have done the upgrade for has been happy. Im going to have them install my tunnel, skid, and clutching, plus I know they have a great reputation for dialing in the MCX kits so I'm leaning towards their info a little more.

Prince George Yamaha said thats it's NOT a good upgrade and it'll only benifit the lake racers and guys wot for miles at a time, he also said the lag difference if very noticable if you ride the tree's.

Anymore insight on this?

The answer from Prince George was strange, i don't agree.
Most of my riding is s.k. tree riding and when i did the swap from 16T to 19T (without changing clutching) the throttle response became even a little better, but i got a bit overrev, due to a little more power, so after adding a weight to the primary throttle response got back to the same as before i did the swap.
I only see benefits to upgrade to an 19T, if the pricetag is within you're budget.

I upgraded my turbo to the larger unit last year and loved it. Nick King from Vernon Motor Sports set it up and i never had an issue. We ride in the trees alot and i never had any problems when i changed to the larger housing. Just wish I would have heard of that outfit in Calgary before i bought the larger turbo. Good to know though for my friends. Thanks
