any one see the mod track in the new sw mag

Would be interesting to see what clearances are and how it really works. It does look a little on the heavy side but if it rocks on the snow, then I would try one

Saw it at the Boise show. Interesting concept but not sure of real life advantage

Apparently there is little additional weight because the overall width is the same. Basically appears to be a track cut down and then reinstalled edges that are turned in. I spoke to a friend of the guy who came up with this and he said the the accelerating performance and sidehilling performance is no comparison to a reguler track. Interesting concept and apparently (rumor begins here) Polaris is looking at it.

looks cool but how does it work....

do you know what the straps bolted in there are made out of? some type of composite plastic or something? I just assumed metal since it is the easiest to work with for the average joe. Just the amount of nuts and bolts in there have go to weigh a ton.

isn't 1 pound of rotating weight the equivalent of 7 pounds of stationary weight or something like that?
