any one go ridin when its below zero

unloaded in Island park last year at -18. Had to turn the carb heaters on within 1 mile of the truck, and the snow was so good, I had to stop and remove a couple of layers about 5 miles from the truck.

Sweating like crazy with your coat and helmet off (@-18) because you just spent the last hour tearing up a meadow is a fun time.

Granted, it does not take long to cool back down, but I would ride that temp again. Very few people around.

Scott, Not sure if you got the answer from ^^^^^ because he is on my ignore list, but, Carb heaters come on the newer skidoos.

It is a knob that I believe diverts some heat from the exhaust. Dont know exactly what it does other than when it gets real cold, I turn it on and the sled runs perfect. With them off, it bogs bad.

Carb heaters are a line from your coolant system to the carbs with a valve to turn the flow on and off. I believe the carbs are jacketed to allow hot coolant to be circulated around the outside of them.

We rode Cooke City last year when it was -35 F. It wasn't too bad in the sun, but riding or taking breaks in the shade was dang cold! Sleds seemed to run decent :)

-26 last year. Thank god for EFI just warm the engine up real good and ride away a few carb sleds burnt down 2 miles from the parking lot because they held them WOT the whole way.

Was a blast other than when you stopped it got cold real fast.

It is always warmer up in the trees. Thats what I tell myself when I am freezing my b@lls off at the trailhead.

In the last ten days in has been above 0 degrees farhenhiet for a total of 6 hours. Gunnison Coloardo USA.

Actually it is nothing to brag about. Its waaaaaay to cold to do anything outside.

It said -12 this morning when we unloaded, but it warmed up alot headed up the mtn. Must have had a good inversion going on.

Just got back. It was -8 when we unloaded, -4 when we got back to the parking lot. I'll bet it got to 0 sometime during the day. Best day of riding this year.

rode cooke last year was 24 below when we left the truck :eek:and 8 below when we got back.BIRRRRR..was a little warmer up top ..maybe 5 or 10 above:)
