use it all the time. lol!:Dactually its Devins from Lethbridge with Nash Car Trailers!

I agree with everything said so far, make sure you add a window for light inside. It is best for 2 or in addition to one window, add the side vents to get rid of the fumes while traveling. I pulled a Triton enclosed with a 1/2 pickup last year and it was good.

Thanks for all the input guys...you are making this a lot easier...expensive (ha-ha), but easier.

Skibreeze...Nice skylight...looks to let in a lot of light and looks factory. I am assuming you cannot get a kit or something like that. Homemade right??

A lot of people recommending traction on the ramps...makes sense. Can you get a floor coating (rhino liner or similar) that will give you enough traction or are the traction strips the way to go? I would really like to line the entire floor with some coating anyway!!

Somebody chime in on the Weight distribution / sway bar thing…sounds like a good idea, but tell me more if you can. How much are they…where do I get them…how do they work…etc.

HEY SPUD…nice thoughts and pictures for this trailer project of mine, but holy crap man…not sure as I would ever leave the trailer if it were “loaded” like that!!!

Mountain Mod Mania has had an "Ultimate Trailer" segment for a few years now and have some great ideas to bling out your trailer.

You are definitely going to need an aluminum trailer, my 28' Triton tows awesome behind my 3/4 ton Duramax, but I just tried to to it with our 2003 half ton Suburban with a 5.3 and it was a huge struggle, even to just go the speed limit! You will need a sway control unit for sure and hopefully you have the bigger motor.

Here is a link to the first trailer build we did.

The new SuperGlides are the only way to go, one of the first things to install as they protect your floor and have traction on the ramps!

Good luck and hopefully you can get some good ideas!

With a 1/2 ton truck I recommend going with an inline 7' wide trailer. 7' walls are nice however add a bit more wind resistance when pulling. I like the 7' wide 6' high because a 1/2 ton won't even know the trailer is there. As long as it's aluminum. Fuel doors are a nice extra. Many like to finish the interiors themselves instead spending the extra up front.
