any mtx vipers showing up yet

So I call OR Trail and guess what after my sled sits in a box for a month! Nothing absolutely nothing, thanks for the lead chris and motojunkie ! I pick up and install the crap for my self! :face-icon-small-fro

So was it the sled that wasn't ready, or the Turbo?
Not clear?

Picked up my viper yesterday, looked it over and put it on the scale.
564lbs no gas.
Looks to be put together well and easy to pull apart.
Took it all apart to install the turbo,
Over all impressed, can't wait to throw a leg over and ride this thing.

I didn't do the install, dealer did. I might remove the vent above the intake to let more air in. As of right now, I'm kinda digging the stealth look!

I sure never suffered on my supercharged Nytro for having the intake in that location..
I'm just passing on what I was told from Randy Swenson. If he says it should be in the cold air to fuel correctly under a load, then I'm going to believe him.

For what it is worth I was going to keep it under the hood as well until he commented on my installation pictures on Facebook.

Doesn't Randy run the MCX stuff tho? Different controllers, etc and not exactly apples to apples. For the most power and less chance of deto, yes the snorkel should be outside the sled.

i think he gets a bit of test time on the mpi stuff too:face-icon-small-win
i know boost it had the same issues as soon as snow got deep sleds would run real rich, do to not enough air.

Its an interesting point.
The Nytro has a LOT of available air to draw in from the left side even if the snow is piled up on the hood.

Does the viper have the same air access?
