Any info on when new belt will be out?

Does anyone know for sure if this new belt is harder or softer than the 166. I get conflicting info. I hear it is harder, then I hear it drops RPM and is stickier (softer).....has anyone heard for sure?

We've got em.

Going out this morning to break in (2) of the 377 belts, and 1 new motor. ;)

Will report back. The 377 is much stiffer and wider, 1-7/16th inch on top1-1/4 inch on bottom, 17 inchs inside span if you pinch the belt together in the middle.

Sounds great ! :)

Do you know the dimensions for the 166 belt ?

.

well...............

only got to ride 20 miles, belt seemed to grip VERY well, I may be imagining things, but my throttle reposonse seemed MUCH quicker as did Snojo's. We put about 35 miles on her's, and her's seemd snappier also, got to full pin Snojo's , WOW! so far so good. However.............

I had major damge, see my post in the doo section.:(

I put 40 miles on the 377 today, and felt the same way. The belt felt alot harder, but suprised me the way it performed. Very happy with it.

My dealer put on a 377 when I had it regeared last week. It pulled much harder and the clutch ran way cooler but not sure if it is due to the regear , belt or both. Have about 150 miles on it now and it still looks new. My dealer said he only got 15 belts in for the over 150 xp he sold and might be a couple of weeks before he gets more. I think he was handing them out to who blew the most:p

The problem is that Doo went with a piss-poor calibration that doesn't provide enough side force to grip the -166. So instead of going to the trouble of adding a little weight and a progressive helix they are just going with a different belt that will cost more and probably only fix a handfull of the problems. Then those that have PROPERLY calibrated their clutching to make the 166 work AWESOME will be spanking the sleds that only throw on the new belt and those people will still complain that they are getting spanked. :):beer;

i agree on the calibration.....but if the 166's are coming out measuring on the belt minimum wear size..why should they last long?
