Any have an Optima Battery?

I bought an optima blue top agm battery to run my new Minnkota power drive V2 55 lb. trolling motor. After I picked it up I started doing research on a few forums, Kinda backwards I know but I was in town. Some guys love em and some guys hate em. Anybody here ever been around them? What do you think?

I had one in my Corvette. It came with the car 12 years ago and I just replaced it last year. They're pricey but seem to work real well. JMO

I have not had the blue tops. I have had only red tops. I had one in my 66 Chevell and I loved that thing...well the battery also I have only had good luck with them! Put one in my wifes T Bird and it worked great till I had a power draw and it kept draining the batt...did not like to be recharged...so took it to the dealer I bought it from and he gave me a new one!! The batt was 2 years old...so the warrenty is well worth it for me!

I have not used it yet and was thinking about returning it. I think I am going to give it a go, I got it at Costco in Bozo. for $150.00 ish. I also picked up a new battery charger that has a special mode for agm batteries. I also found this page about "waking up" an Optima. They also have a couple "tips" vids on the Optima web site. Thanks for the input guys.

ive had a red top on my table lift winch for 3 years and charged it once during then. dont use it much but seems like a good bat
