Any first hand experience with Motorfist Redline boots ?

Forgot to mention that the lower ratchet buckle can catch on the back of some seats when moving from side to side. The edge of the buckle is quite sharp and might cut the seat. But who knows, I guess will find out.

wouldn't you just pull your pants over the buckles ?

Is there a loop for your pant gaiters?

Even if there isn't what I did with my stompers was to throw a short bungee cord under my boot that held my pant gaithers low which covered all the lace buckles

Fix

Here are saome pics I took of where the lower strap broke, and where the lower strap is when the pants are clipped to the boot. I squared off the brocken strap and put it in the buckle flush then did the other side. Thinking this might work. No need to mess with the upper strap. Fred

Still sucks that I tore my seat!

friend had his on the other day for the first time. broke one of the buckles; probably by snagging/banging it on something. could have been a fluke thing but it was also a very easy ride. being a moto guy, i loved the concept and all the insulation sounded great. i wanted to get a pair before seeing that. i'm sure it won't be a problem getting it warrantied but not sure if i want to go through that regularly. time will tell.

Let's get you new straps.

email jake@motorfist.com about that.

I would cut the straps to length once you get them. There really isn't a need to keep the straps longer if they don't need to be. They have to be longer for those folks that need the extra length. And I doubt you will sell them to your buddy after you have them :face-icon-small-ton That's like sharing underwear.....so cutting the straps once you have them set for your feet would help.

We went with the buckle design for the positive reasons above. Easy on good to "set" to your foot ect. But they are still buckles. So they need a little more care and attention then something that just has a lace.

Anyways, email jake if you need buckles and enjoy riding folks:face-icon-small-coo

We would send MotorFist an email and they should take care of you! Im sure a replacement set of buckles is something they have stock of! Wish we had out Stomper 2.0's in stock as of now, have quite a few people scared of the buckles right now!

Despite the set back with the lower strap the boots work extremly well. Was using the Klim Adrenilain for the last three years, where comfortable but feet always sweeted using the Mamoth socks, once wet they were cold. Last year the left boot started leaking. The right boot toe was torn up from kicking ice from running boards ( not the boots fault ). Trimmed both lower straps to length and road in the valley yesterday. Had no problems with them grabbing the seat. Fred

Just a update after 2 rides. I love these boots! Super warm, but not to bulky. I have sweaty feet naturally, but these boots seem to breath well. My feet have kept extremely dry. The strap system for me has worked fantastic. Super quick to put on, two clicks and your good to go. I haven't had any issues with them catching my seat, boots or anything else. I think my Klim bibs help with this aspect with the inner lining of my bibs buttoned on the plastic loop of the boots the straps are covered and won't allow them to catch. My first ride was -3 deg and today it was mid teens my feet were always warm and comfortable. It did take about 2 rides to "break"them in fully so they bend and flex like I want them to. Great boots.

I just received a pair I ordered, After opening the box they will be returned. Cheaply made Chinese Junk. No deal here. Did not even bother to try them on.

Just my personal opinion

Boots

I have a set of Stompers and really like them, use them for both work and sledding. Saved money with the intention of buying new boots at the Boise snow show. Was really looking forward to trying on a new set of stomper 2 boots. First dealer had only one pair in stock and it was a size 14. Told them I wanted to try and 11, they laughed at me and said the 14 was all they had no explanation, they then turned their backs and continued to talk to their friends. Went to the Motofist rep booth asked what was up and to see if they had any boots, that was a no go but they took me to another dealer, they also didn't have any of the new boots but did have 4 pair of Stomper boots. I would have bought the older pair of Stompers because was really happy with the ones I already had but they only had 7, 8, 9 and 10, that's it. Pretty disappointed as I was really wanting to try on a set of these boots. Went to the klim booth, found new this year's set of boots tried them on and walked out of the show. My point in all of this is if Motofist is having this kind of problem launching a new line then what kind of quality would you be buying. My stompers are great boots no doubt but after that experience I'd be a little gun shy until they get their feet underneath them so to speak

I will be returning mine as well. one ride, one clip on each boot broke off. top it off the white spring thing you push in on the straps blew off in the white snow. I found one of the small springs. warm and dry but not happy. it WILL be a problem on this boot. im gonna see if they will take them back and grab the stomper 2. I just hope they have my size!

**update**

MF came through just like they always have. they deemed my boots unrepairable and credited me back my money which I then grabbed stompers 2.

LOVE these boots!! few rides in and no issues. dry, warm, stiff enough but not too stiff.:face-icon-small-hap

pretty happy with my redlines, the insulation is awesome. 1st boot in while that I can where a pair of motocross knee socks alone and be perfectly comfortable.

I have noticed if you buy them on the small side, the buckles are under more stress. But..

If your on the fence, the go for the Stomper 2.0 they are a proven winner.
