any body have a good ride ?

We went up today and hit Orr Creek.

Very icy conditions, definitely needed scratchers....thin down low, but the higher we got the better it got. Less ice and more groomed, smooth snow.

Mostly road riding of course but we did some off trail on Potato Hill, certainly no worries about getting stuck with the icy crust.

Blue bird sky and fantastic views of Mt Adams and Mt Rainier.

We did about 80 miles or so and the wife and I are pretty pooped out, but it sure as hell beat sitting home and riding the couch!! :face-icon-small-coo

Rode out of the upper Entiat yesterday. Had to face the decision of whether to cook your hyfaxes and motor on ice or drive up the road illegally past the sno-park. Once we started climbing out of the valley, the ice ended in a couple miles, and there was upwards of 3 feet most places. No base to it though, and a soft crust layer a few inches down that would grab your skis if you laid the sled over too hard. Had a couple sketchy spots in the ice coming back down into the valley where just letting off the throttle part of the way resulted in locking up the track, but all in all, worth going out. But, I'm probably not going up again until we get some more snow.

Tim-

We just bought a place in entiat, and have heard that there is some good riding up there! Is it very popular?

Powderboy killed the last couple days---see if he will post up a couple pictures.

They were down in Alpine Wyoming--tons of snow--light and fluffy as xpected for wy.

Sure wish I had been there, but got pneumonia--sucks

Wendell, you back already? Gotta see some pic's of what REAL SNOW looks like! :noidea:

I'm guessing you guys timed it perfectly, lot's of fresh and then sunshine, so jealous but happy for you guys. Definitely not worth the overtime I had to put in, would have rather been where you were.
