Anti Stab Kit Question

I am just in the middle of installing a new Power Claw Track on my Kingcat along with a Anti Stab Kit with no instructions where to bolt to, I bought one for the duel limiter straps from Hi performance, Does it bolt to the the end of the rails where the end caps are and do you remove the end caps, please help, thanks MADDGWFO

Let me begin by saying you're going to be amazed at what the PC can do, especially if you're coming from an A20. I made the same switch myself last year and the change was just ridiculous.

As for the anti stab, you'll want to put it right at your rail tips. Bore out a hole on the inside of your end caps so the anti-stab can touch the inside of both rails. Then run the bolts through the end cap, rail, and finally into the anti stab axel. Let me know if this doesn't make sense and I'll get you a picture tonight.

Thanks for the imput and pictures

I will look into trimming of the rail alittle and then installing the anti stab kit, I bought the King late last season and I have not even rode it but excited to do so after riding a full mod 9001M for years, I am swaping alot of parts off the 9001m, such as pipe, reeds, airbox, Boss highrise, monster motor mount, and the Nitrious kit, hoping for a good winter here in the Northwest, MADDOGWFO

Be very aware that the rail caps need to stay where they are suppose to be. It's the only protection you will have if the anti-stab fails. By fail I mean if a bearing goes south or the shaft breaks or if you forget to lock-tite the cap screws when you install. I learned that leason the hard way. Bearings both went south with very low mileage, which I caught in time but when the cross shaft broke it cost me a new CE track. Also lost the stock track when the caps screws came loose and one fell out. Since the cross shaft event and susequent demise of the CE track I went back to just rail tips and no anti-stab. Over 2,000mi now and never a problem.

MadDog, I have to be your neighbor somewhere out there in the valley even though I am south of I-90 so not really Otis. I have the two wheel anti stab and have hacked up every part on my sled at one time or another. Give me a holler if you want a pic of the install or want to stop by and take a look at how I did the kit.

Thanks for the imput and pictures

Well I got them installed last night and hopefully it is right, the rail caps stick out 3/8 inch father than the wheels, and i hope this will not be a issue, and could not cut off the end of the rail becasue of no place to mount the kit and keep the end caps, any thoughts MADDOGWFO

You did it right. It won't matter that the caps stick out since the wheels are lower than the rails a little which holds the track away from the rail tips.

At least that is my opinion:face-icon-small-sho
