Anti ratchet drivers and the splined driveshaft

forgive me if this has been covered somewhere else I did a search and no results. Anyway after changing drivers on an IQR driveshaft yesterday it got me wondering about the anti ratchet driver fitment on the clutch side of the axle where the spline stops. It seems that the driver would have to be on the axle where there is no spline or at least part way where there is no spline. I'm am going to be using wahl bros drivers (since that is what I have sitting at the shop) what is the trick or is it just put them on with no issue. Thanks for the help

I had a set of Avids and they were machined smooth on that side so it slide a little ways over the smooth part of the shaft. Not sure if they are all like this, but the ones I had were.

Wahl bros. Are the same way. I have them on my iq chassis and they work just fine.

I had the same question when I put mine on. I had Avid Combos. One driver will have no splines half way through it so it can go on all the way to the correct spot.

Wahls vs Avids

I run both kinds.

The Wahls are a little less forgiving on being centered to the track windows.

Do some measuring ---
