Another storm for the SW mountains

NOAA says we stand a 60% chance mid-week. We all know what they said last time.

It's not going to snow until it warms up and it's not doing that. Just a touch under 0° right now.

We did get shorted last season. it sure has been a good one so far this year! Lovin the pow over the hood last weekend.

Chama is a bit thin So far but thats about to be a thing of the past this week too it would appear. WC is always there even in bad years though.

Shhhhhhh. It's 82 and sunny on wolf creek right now. Crazy warm front hovering over our mountains. All the snow is gone. Nothing but rocks and shrubs everywhere. This local conditions update is for tudizzle, skibreeze and others wondering. ps....is this better guys?

Yeah, I know that people are out in NWCO but riding trails and playing in "safe" meadows just doesn't cut the mustard.

Very jealous of the SOCO crowd right now. At least 20" predicted and so far this year WC has more than doubled the prediction. Last week they were supposed to get 18" and ended up with close to 4' new. ARGH!

nope we got passed up on the last 2 storms , we went up last week and to many landmines are still hideing right below , a road ride yes a off trail ride , not yet.......................

Just going off those pics that Sahen, Matt and Philip posted up on FB all weekend. Still in better shape than we are. And with last week settling the last half added with the next three days snowfall, it should be pretty close to epic. Am I wrong? LOL. Guess I'll be doing what you guys did last year. Drive.

And 3 bent a-arms is waaaaay better than what I saw on trailers sitting at the bar in Ktown. I saw a handful of pretty fair insurance claims in the making.

Yeah, it is long for you either way. Long for me one way, that's what bites the big one. It's pretty cool to wake up 3 hours after you guys do, eat breakfast, take a dump and still beat you to the MC lot, but if there isn't any snow, it sucks. I have seen it start mega slow and then BANG, it snows and snows and snows (2007-2008) but then it starts out slow, snows occasionally and is ok, but not epic (2008-2009).

The wind moved a lot of last weeks snow around. Snow is very sugary in places. Lets hope we get a weT storm to hold it all together.

Need help....we usually ride cooke city and the snow it not good there or anywhere close to around there. We have ridden Steamboat Springs(SLO), and I see that there is a storm getting ready to go through the sounthern part of the state. We are thinking of chasing the snow. With the current conditions and the snow on its way. Where would you recomend we go and were is a good place to stay? Thanks for the help
