Hope everyone wants to share their opinion tonight. I have been a polaris nut for quite awhile. However I want a Turbo sled and Polaris cant get their NA sleds running right. So I am thinking Actually thinking of signing loan papers tomorrow morning on an M8 snopro 162 and putting a boondocker pump gas turbo on it.
1) How much should I need for the clutch kit parts
2) How much for the turbo complete Everyone says something different of course
3) Does any one have a turnkey clutch kit?
4) Vents?
Help a crossover rider out hear would ya

Hate to hear that, The boondocker boost complete should be around 5600 with the clutch kit. I have gone with the 2cool vents and really like them very durable. That price is what I was told instaled, so a do it yourself price not sure, that is the pump gas pump fuel.

Send SNOW JW (Justin at Code Red Performance) a PM. He's a dealer for Boondocker with a lot of experience installing turbos. A lot of people on the forum (myself included) have used him for several years as a source for boondocker, boss seats, vents, egts, suspension and recently he's been a HUGE help getting my boondocker turbo & clutching dialed in on my M8. --Matt

Cuttler Turbo Pump Gas

U should also call Dale Cuttler in Utah.... He has alot to offer and wisdom is through the roof..... 801 224 5005 is the shop#... Hope this helps

Peace out

I would not waste your time with pump gas on an 8 . If you are hell bent on running pump fuel buy an M1000 . A race gas 8 is the way to go .:beer;

Another vote for Justin(SNOW JW). Great Pricing on complete kits w/ clutching and gauges.

Extra kit on hand

Give me a call I have an extra 2010 m8 pump gas kit in stock and will make you a super deal on all you need just to move it.

Well I talked with Justin today and as everyone has said he really seems to care about me...The customer. He was very friendly informative and most of all patient with the pupil. The kits he sells are very complete and seems like he thought of people like me with the desire to by a box. Not a turbo that needs 10 other parts so it will work right. The only thing in question is the intercooler. He did not try to sway me one way or the other so what do you guys think? Intercooler or Boss seat???

MM SPORTS What kit do you have. Based on the other thread I may want to go withthe one in stock. Problem is I dont get around a phone till 6ish colorado time. New job cant use phone at work. I will try to call again tomorrow

No intercooler if under 10-12lbs of boost. Go with the RG kit and turn it down or go pgm1000

IMO I would talk to MMSports.

Sounds like they set it up, vented, clutched ready to ride. No extra BS.

I was checking prices and he was right in the ball park with everyone else.

But remember PG turbos are setup to run 94 oct. So good luck finding 94 at the pump. So you will then be running race with it. So you might think about a race fuel sled and drop the boost down. Then you have the ability to crank it up when the 4-8psi boost isn't enough. :)

OVS has pump gas kits right now on sale!. No intercooler is needed whith any pumper. Twisted, OVS will ship tomorrow who know's at the moment how long it will take you to get a running BD turbo other guys have been waiting along time on parts. Pump on an 8 is just a tease;)

turbo

Snowjunky,if you live in Loveland CO.you should call Rick at peakpowersports, very, very knowledgeable and has great service, local and is a great guy,not like another name mentioned in this thread from CO.His # is 303 363 0202,he does lots of turbos!!

Turbo

If you haven't bought the cat yet and still have your polaris you should talk to shane at twisted turbos. His new kit for the dragon is suppose to be a great kit that runs well and his service in my oppion is one of the best out there. If you have the cat then I would not waste my time and money on a boondocker kit, again I would call shane. If you want his # pm me and I will get it to you.

you can make the poo rip but for average riding they don't work as well as the cat will. there heavier and trench like a ditch witch.

I have been looking at alot of turbo kits and the biggest reason I was going with the BD pg kit was a friend has it on his sled and is working great.Super reliable and the fit and finish is great, I also like the tunnel dump exhaust. I am however concerned about delivery time. Looks like it could be after Christmas or even the end of January before BD ships. They are saying sooner but an inside source says hogwash. You know how inside sources are though. I did find one on the shelf so I am thinking of going thaty way. Was always planniong on 2 gallons of race per tank anyways but dodnt think I need the RG kit. I like the power just want to keep it in my means so to say. Thanks for everyones input. Now its time to sled CHEERS ALL and MERRY CHRISTMAS

Rode my new 2009 M8 this weekend. WOW I loved it. Climed chit I would have never attemted on my Poo. Anyways had the chance to ride the exact sled setup with a BD PG kit. Side by side comparison. It was no tease thats for sure. If anyone out there was wondering I still have perma grin. Been running truck turbos for awhile so I know something about turbos. New to the 2 stroke turbo scene though. WOW is the description for sure. No lag crisp throttle response PLENTY of power unless your doing a 2 minute pull in 8 ft of powder. We dont have that kind of riding though. Heck I couldnt keep it pinned for very long at all do to the area. So in short if it isnt WIDE OPEN and you dont want to spend your allowance on race fuel Boondocker gets another vote. Mine should be here Tuesday. Thanks for all the contacts. I learned a ton about the different kits and whats available during my quest.
During my quest I talked with alot of people that were nice informative and understanding. At the top of that list was Kevin at Mountain Magic Sports. Kevin took the time to listen to my needs and develope a package that fit my pocketbook and my riding style. He laughed with me at some of my misconceptions and shortcomings and guided me through the decision process both courtesly and politely so as to prevent further frustrations. He didnt get mad when I asked the same question twice trying to understand and when it came time to purchase He made it very easy to buy. Parts will be be shipped soon and he had it all in stock. No waiting for what I needed. I am sure in the future that service will not change. Its been along time since I felt I could trust someone with that kind of money.
Cheers
