i have had good luck w/ klim gear except their gloves.they just don't hold up well for me.i have gone thru several pairs of their gloves over the years, and finally gave up.
at our snow show this year my wife was going to buy a pair, and was working w/ a klim rep. i told her not to buy them, they don't hold up.the rep asked me why i hadn't sent them back for warranty, i didn't have an answer.anyhow he convinced me to give them another shot and assured me if i had any issues, i would be well taken care of.

so i bought an $85 pr. of the x cross gloves and on the second ride, split a finger tip out and had another issue developing on the nickle.so i sent them back.well i just got a call and they are sending them back and not warrantying them.i usually don't bash companies in a forum, but i feel tricked.

on a positive note, i was planning on some new pants and a couple new jackets this season,so at least i will make sure klim doesn't get another penny from me.i will shop elsewhere.....mm

i wad denied on some gloves too. i think with the economy taking a big hit they probally tightend up there warrenty operation

I just bought Klim Jacket and Pants, while I like it, with all the stories piling up, a few years down the road when I'm in the market for new stuff again unless something changes Klim won't be on my list, just too risky to spend that much money and get a product that isn't worth it.

Gloves wear out. When they do buy a new pair. Its pretty simple.

There is a BIG freaking difference between 3 rides and 3 years. That is the difference between the klim klimate gloves and the the TNA gloves that I own. BTW I am continuing to use my TNA's for the 4th year.

I agree that when you wear it out it's time to BUY new stuff, but when nearly new stuff fails I expect the company to stand behind it.

In my opinion Klim is #1 still for everything except gloves and boots. I love all my Klim gear; but my Tog gloves are just back ups.

You try calling the rep and asking him for rep? He/she prob has more pull than you with Klim.

and i have 3 pairs of klim gloves - 1 pair for five years, the other 2 for three years - and guess what???
NO problems with any of them!!! and i know a bunch of the guys i ride with have the same stories to tell.
mabey some of you guys are just hard on your gear?? not saying its right or wrong. some guys stuff lasts a long time - others not long at all.

bottom line, klim makes the best mountain ridin gear out there, hands down, end of discussion. if flat out works and does what its supposed to, and when im warm and dry all day every day (and night if it comes to that) its worth every penny.

if your hard on stuff - buy something else, cheaper, so you dont mind replacing it often.

Honestly, WTF is so hard to understand here. It's not about "being hard on gear" We are talking about new gloves splitting seams. Their quality control on their gloves is horrible and they refuse to admit it.

I destroyed a pair of Tog gloves as well, however, I will never bash Klim pants. I have never seen a pant hold up to the abuse I put mine through.

Just for the record, my Tog gloves are still in good shape. I just don't find them very comfortable compared to some of the other Gore Tex gloves I have.:beer;

I got a set of the Klim powercross gloves as well, and a set of TNA's the liner wore out on the TNA's and they aren't warm but there comfortable. I haven' used my Klims to much but liked so far. Dealership where i bought them told me that they are good gloves but they do tend to rip out at the seems. he said if this happens bring them back and he will exchange them. I would call that klim rep up if i were you.

I bought a pair of powercross gloves last year and when I tried them on the larges were tight and the xl were a little loose but I bought them in case they shrunk a little... road 2000 mountain miles last year without an issue... liked them so much I ask Santa for another pair.

I've heard that Klim has a lifetime guarantee on their gloves and boots but it's not my lifetime but the lifetime that klim expects them to work before they fail. I was told one year...

IMO the best gloves (similar weight to the Powercross) on the market are the Scott Warrior Gloves with the short cuff. They are around $60 using Goretex, leather and that gel crap on the palm.

Thats just funny....I see you are from Utah so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt but you have to admit that Snowest has a lot of users that don't ride real hard...to say someone is hard on their gear insinuates they do something different than they were intended for. I have had 3 pairs of Klim gloves and all 3 split within 3-4 rides. Klim warrantied 1 pair and not the rest. I ride hard in the Mountains off trail but I don't do anything that the gloves aren't supposed to be used for. The problem with the Klim gloves is always the stiching in the inner parts of your fingers. That is a defective product, not someone being hard on their gloves. As far as yous lasting so long, either you don't stand up when you ride, you have really small hands, or you're just lucky (just kidding) ;)
