Another ‘19 850 Heads up

Do you happen to have the GM part number for the exhaust temp sensor? Would also like to have one in the trailer for a backup, thanks!

I ordered the NAPA sensor part number 2-31015. I heard yesterday that Polaris is going to come out with a different sensor with a different part number. My local dealership is out of stock on the exhaust sensor.

I just came from my dealership and bought one, they said thier not on back order.
I'm gonna check the ohm reading on both new and old sensors in hot water.

i wonder if my sensor is bad already. first 2 rides, never saw above 115-117*. last ride i saw 140* on the trail out. there was definitely enough snow being thrown up with scratchers down. the trail was not that hard.
the temps did come down in deeper snow, but overall the sled temp was higher than it has been on previous rides

That sounds like pretty normal operation. Mine is usually closer to 100* F in powder and will climb to 140*F on the trail without scratchers down pretty easily.

2019 ProRMK sensor is 2006 Toyota Tacoma, looks like a direct replacement.

Polaris changed the sensor in 2020.

I’m still on the hunt for a cross reference vehicle for a 2020....

Here is the link to the Stant #74005 product page. You can find the vehicle and/or supplier cross reference tables on this page.

I did buy a Intermotor/Standard TX40 sensor as mentioned above and did quick spec check against the Polaris spec in the manual and it was out of spec... it read 2.24 kOhms @ 68 degrees. I have attached a pic of the spec from the manual.

I will be buying Bosch 0281002209 sensor (which when you “Amazon” the number says it’s for a Polaris Ranger Scrambler RZR, etc. I will post my results when I receive this sensor.

The sensor was in stock at my dealer. Not the harness. Back ordered until 2/7. GM has the connector mate for $85 and other Auto outlets for $60+.

I had my dealer send me a new temp sensor. Retail is like $54, I Paid like $43. The picture is the packaging of the sensor, had both the polaris part number and the Bosch part #.
fyi, at Amazon there are $11.99, that’s cheaper than taking the time to do a warranty claim.
anyone know the manufacture part number on the harness?

is that for the '19 or '20?

Does anyone know what the yellow connector at the top of this harness (not engine side) is called or model #? I've figured out the bottom one just want to buy some of the top ones and make my own harness.

Hi Cole:

That connector looks like the ones on my old Nytro....think I have a few left....yahoo...but do I need it????

Hoping you can help on this.....so I'm clear. The 2019 temp sensor is now the 2020 polaris temp sensor which is equivalent to or is the bosch sensor. So ...if/when my 2019 sensor fails, I will need a pigtail with the bosch sensor plug on one end and whatever plug/receptacle mates to the polaris harness on the other end......AND...it sounds like the 2019 and 2020 have different harness plugs/receptacles???

We do this on heavy equipment all the time, and it's always a PITA, but if I can figure out the pigtail, I can get everything prepped and made so it's an easy fix.

Thx OTM
