Can you re-anodize something? My handlebar hooks are anodized and have faded a lot. Can I re-anodize them the same color?

Also, there was a thread many years ago about how to anodize small parts at home, but it was few 4M updates ago. Anyone know how to anodize small parts at home?

DIY Anodizing

Yes, parts can be re-anodized. Usually from what I understand, they strip it, then anodize the part again. Something to do with electrolysis.
You might consider powder coating with a UV protectant to resist fading, look up Eastwood for this, can be done right at home.

DIY anodizing at home can be done, but the set up and chemicals, alot of hassle for so few parts.
I would be interested to hear from others on this, as there has probably been some advancements in whats available & to make it more user friendly.

I found a few things. Just about need a bio-hazard suit.

Has anyone done this at home? What are your thoughts? Was it easy?

How do you mix the dye or do you use it staight?
