Anodize rails questions

The shop where I'm getting them done is closed till Monday but I remember talking to him and he said steel can't be anodized or it screws up the rest of the parts getting anodized...something along those lines so my questions are..

On the rails where the track tension bolt is screwed into, the housing/threads piece is being held on by some kind of rivets or something like that I don't really know what they are but their steel...see pictures.

How do I get those out?
Do I need any special tool to put new ones in or get them out for that matter?
Or how are you guys anodizing these rails with that little bit of steel in them does it matter or does your anodizer just cover those somehow?

Thanks
FYI rails are off 13 pro if that matters.

They are steel rivets and must be removed. I carefully drilled mine out, wasn't too big of a task. I then wet sanded and polished both rails before sending them out for anodizing. You want to be sure to remove ANY steel remnants that may be in the aluminum. I plan on reinstalling mine with bolts of some sort...haven't looked into that yet. I sent mine out a week or so ago and have not received them back yet.
