ANGRY about a speeding ticket????

this worked for me with a speeding ticket 12 years ago. we have a 65mph in wis ,i was going 80 seen the cop following me, let him follow me for awhile before he pulled beside to make sure i seen him. when he got to me he said didnt you see me with the lights flashing following you. i said yes sir i did. then he said why didnt you stop. i told him about 7 months ago my wife left me for a cop and i seriously thought you were tyring to give me the beeaoutch back. he just shook his head and took my liscense and went back to his car. came back 5 mins, later and said have a nice day. true story. chris.

I would just as soon fly than deal with these bandits, people are scared to even be on the roads. Criminals do not even have this much effect on us. To bad this mafia could not funnel their efforts in the right direction rather than being out there just to grab money. I have pee running down my leg just from reading this. Actually, it feels pretty good.

I'm with the majority on this one, it's all about revenue. Every day I see cops sitting in school zones (with the flashing lights, used to be signs that said 20 "When children are present" but they probably got beat in court too much) with not a kid in sight (lunch time at an elementary school) nailing people right and left. There is never a crossing guard at lunch so who are they "protecting"? Nobody.

Having fun.....at other peoples expense? That is the reason I posted the comments I did, too attempt to show that degrading comments are just that degrading. I did not start this line of debate. I am only defending the good men and women that risk their lives everyday to protect all of us (even people like you and others that say law enforcement officers suck). I will be the first to admit that the criminal justice system in this country needs some work, but what doesn't?

Law enforcement officers in this country make great sacrifices in order to ensure the safety of all of us. Sure, there are officers that tend to give all a bad name. There are jerks in all lines of work.

Just curious.....all of you that like to bash cops, what kind of public service have any of you done? Have any of you risked your life in order to protect a complete stanger?

I love how important people think they are, and how unimportant others are for postponing their measly existence... I have broken many laws, and was pretty dumb in my younger days... When I got caught I never played games, just was honest and took my punishment without fuss. What ever happened to manning up and taking the consequences for your actions? I mean, on this subject, you should know what the speed limit is, and you should follow it. Period. If you don't, you really should be smart enough to figure out that there are these people called police officers to enforce the laws. If you aren't smart enough to figure that out, no wonder you aren't smart enough to figure if you got busted speeding in a section of a road, it is very very very (enough very's again?) unlikely that you are the first, or the last to speed in that section.

Open your mind to the possibility that you are not alone in this little world.... and no matter what you tell yourself, there are more important people on this planet, and you should stop wasting their time!

Not all cops. We ride pit bikes around town and other places a lot. Most of the cops have been cool and laughed and told us to go home several times until last week when a few of them were not happy when we were riding the bmx track and gave us tickets and impounded our minis. they need them for evidence, right?
