Amsoil: Interceptor or Dominator for VES ?

Interceptor is made for motors with exhaust valves It has water displacement anti rust.
Dominator is made for high horsepower mod motors does not have the anti rust.

Interceptor is good for most people. One place you can Buy Intercepter on the wasach front is at NAPA if they are and afilliated store.

I have ran interceptor in the past but indy dan is doing my bottom end now and after reading all his post i'm going back to the old non synthetic in my '03 800 motor.

I followed that post of his back when he made it as well... but read it closely he goes out of his way to state he doesnt ride in below freezing conditions... how does non-synthetic hold up at -10F ???

To everyone else, thanks.

I know he rides in below freezing temps how could he not when we only get a few short months to ride here

everyone rides in below freezing temps. don't get a lot of snow anywhere with above freezing temps... yes i know he meant below zero temps (fahrenheit)

anyway, i would say neither. if you want to run synthetic go with only redline or klotz. otherwise, like indydan says go with old basic stuff. amsoil sucks. i'm sure i'll get flamed but that's just how it is...

I'm an Amsoil dealer.
I have enough respect to not bash someone over their right of choice. So I won't chisel on you. I've ran Klotz and Amsoil myself for years and years without issues from both products

9,500 miles using Dominator on an exhaust valved UBR900 without any oil related issues at all. I've also made a few accidental long pulls without an oil pump or water pump, when the steam started pouring out from under the hood I shut it down, still no scuffs at all. I personally wouldn't run anything else. I do know of one person who let his sled sit in an enclosed damp trailer for a month or so between rides and rusted a crank.

i have gallons of both so i have been mixing them half and half. Had 7000 miles on my 03 700 Poo when the clutch grenaded and took the crank with it.
I sold around 100 gallons every year the past 3 or 4 years and no one has had any trouble with the interceptor.

I also run amsoil products in my dirtbikes, ATV's, trucks, chainsaws. Good stuff all the way around

I have interned at AMSOIL the past couple of summers.
Interceptor is the recommended oil for all 2-stroke snowmobile engines unless they are highly modified or are used for racing applications.

Well if the Polaris man himself (indydan) says don't use the stuff OR Polaris Gold I'd stay away. He even said he'd void the 3 year warranty on his crank if you ran any synthetic. I'm going back to the dino oil.
