This just has had me smiling all weekend and today!!
Saturday was the Lewistown, Montana premiere of Thunderstruck 8. Well last year at the Lewistown TS7 premiere, Ken (Spud) and Dan (Masterpate) held a benefit auction for a fallen rider. The riders of Thunderstruck signed a donated helmet and Pate set it up on the auction block. A fan of our films ended up buying the helmet during the benefit for a large amount of money.
Well Saturday the person who bought the helmet last year found out Brad Story and a few other riders who were NOT at the TS7 premiere were coming to the TS8 premiere this year. He brought it in and had the new riders sign it.
Then, we started our auction for PINK RIBBON RIDERS (PRR) as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. He saw the huge crowd participation and out of the goodness of his heart, he DONATED THE SIGNED HELMET back to us to auction off for the benefit of the PINK RIBBON RIDERS!!!!
WOW!
Even though the TS8 film had ended, the fans left over wanted to buy that helmet to benefit PRR! The bidding went HUGE this time with the helmet going for $800.00!!!
Another WOW!!! And it gets better!
The 2 people who bought the helmet for $800.00 then IMMEDIATELY donated it back to us to RE-AUCTION to benefit the PRR AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
So Mr. Pate fired up his auction tongue and sold the helmet AGAIN for another large amount of money, to the same guy who bought it the year before and donated it back to begin with!!!!
If that is not an incredible display of giving, I cannot possibly know what one is!!
So to those who helped us raise well over $1300.00 for the PINK RIBBON RIDERS Saturday in Lil' ol' Lewistown, Montana, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
