Am I the only one?

if you seriously thought that bad of a sled....are you a moron or something? you still bought it. some kind of retard to drop 13k on that much crap of a new sled. I'd like to see your house...probably spent 200k on a trailer house didn't ya?

Paid it off on order without seeing it. For the rest, Your mouth is probably running faster than your brain so I'll leave it up to you to make up pretty stories.

I know where you are coming from changing brands, I had ridden cat all my life until 2014. Luckily there are a lot of ship jumpers here on the polaris side now and not very many have left. I wish I could afford a 16 so I could be nervous like you (I know I was in 13). Add a front bumper if you want, maybe change the bars if they aren't comfortable and just go ride. My pro has been every bit if not more reliable than the cats and it is a blast.

Its already paid for, ill still buy it and ride the sheet out of it, but i hope my parts, a-arm and frame master budget is not going to explode! Just surprised how everyone sees everything so perfect

This has got to be a fake troll post. Snowmobiler, did you get a new username?? :)
Didn't you even LOOK at a Pro before you snowchecked an Axys? If you had, you would see how much better the build quality on this sled is. I hated my Pro, would never buy another one, but the Axys, after building two and poking around them for a bit, is a HUGE improvement, I want one. Surprising comment coming from someone who owned Cats. I had a 12 and a 14, and the secondary and bracing on them both looked like it came from Walmart.

The only thing that worries me about the axys is that I didn't order one for myself.

Kiliki can fight the good fight all he likes, but this thing is the business in person.

The cat was no stronger than the pro depending what you hit on what angle....so with the additional beefing up on this sled, it should be tougher than both. If you hit a lot of stuff, it's going to get expensive on any sled....that much I can tell you without speculation. Run into a tree at 20mph in your pickup and let us know how it holds up lol

glue and the A arms did do well before now they are back to welds more in the weight direction. I read about all the after market parts to help with the weak factory set up but why? when the factory is in doubt listing to the customer and producing a sled that is in fact too week but light. doo and cat have not gone there. poo does issue the blue goggles and most of the poo guys can.t see past the "light blue". just ask them about the motors?

Can't help ya...I've ridden stock pros for 5years with no aftermarket strengthening products and never broke anything outside of a bent a-arm. So they haven't been "too weak" for a 210lb guy to ride in the mountains, ride tandem, tow sleds and skimmers, jump poorly, etc. There's tons of guys that have been riding them for half a decade now with minimal strength complaints. And then there are guys who think a sled should be able to crank a telephone pole at highway speed and be totally fine...and they are doomed to disappointment on any brand.

The glue had some teething problems, sure, but it has been a solid system last couple years. That's what happens when you push tech forward...it's not always perfect the first time out, but at least you're pushing forward and trying to build a more advanced product. Like I say, if you don't think the axys is an exciting sled.... You're welcome to that opinion...but definitely in the minority.

No sled is bulletproof, but if my 11 and 13 PRO RMK's are any indication it's not going to be a belt eater(like Skidoo or Cat are known for).If you bounce off trees at higher speed or hit rocks sure you're going to break stuff. The C/F rear bumper is the weak link on mine.

Insure it.State Farm for me,I shopped around, they were the best price I found.Get a low deductible if you're really worried.

Other than that, enjoy it,ride it and if you don't like it than move on next year.

Pete

still waiting for somebody to weigh one to see if the new flashy bling bling machine is lighter than a 08 skidoo.the number to beat is 521 r2r.

Can we cut the poo track down to the lug height the 08 was and also take out the 2 gallons of gas the poo holds more than the 08 doo.

Also I haven't seen poo guys stocking up on bulkhead parts like the 08 guys needed.

In 08 it was wise to carry a couple of spare belts too. (more weight) Not all were belt eaters but mine sure was until I took things into my own hands.

I will weigh mine when I get it and I too had an 08 XP. I will say though the AXYS will feel 1/2 the weight when riding even if it the Doo turns out to be a couple lbs. lighter.

I can say this confidentially as my 13, 14 & 15 Pro's all felt lighter than the XP and that XP was only a 154.

The fantasy of tough.

I've been working at home this last bit. Most of the sleds are ol' M sleds (cause they're worth fixing IMO), maybe second or third owner but not really high milers.

First, I forgot how much a PITA they are to disassemble and work on. The Pro is designed sweet that way.

Second, I buy rivets by quantity of 100 but will up that if I get more of these M sleds because they used a LOT. And, most are loose now. I have fabbed 3 jigs to help me pull things together for re-alignment so far.
The other thing I need to buy a lot of are sheet metal screws that are on or two sizes large than stock.
There is a reason these are heavy and it isn't for toughness it's because of old design.

Third, I,ve been surprised because I always thought they were bullet proof. Instead, I've found it doesn't matter how many rivets or screws are used initially, lack of maintenance will give anything a premature death.

The Pro chassis' are light on the extremities but as tough or tougher as anything where it's needed.
IMO toughness of the AXYS chassis and components is the last thing you need to be concerned about.
Riding it to it's limits is more of a concern.

I've tore several M sled's apart. I'm not sure why you think there a bigger pita than the pro. I can say for sure the A-arms are easier to remove/install but the engine, skid, steering, and just about everything else is pretty equal.
I guess I'm old school but I am more comfortable with rivets than glue.
