I have to give special thanks to Alpine powersports for playing hardball with BRP and being a dealer that actually cares about their customers.
I Cracked my crank about a month ago and went to my local dealer for warranty work. To make a long story short My local dealer pulled the motor out of my sled to do the warranty on the motor. After they got motor out of my sled they looked at the damage and decided to call BRP to make sure it was a manufacturer defect. Brp denied the claim defining the damage as being abuse.
This was not caused by abuse unless squeezing the throttle lever too much is abuse. I then decided to get a second opinion and took it to Alpine powersports. They looked at the damage extensively and were also under the impression that the damage should be covered under warranty. They contacted Brp and convinced them to overturn they're first decision. I now have a brand new short block and a new dealer. They have bent over backwards for me and gone the extra mile and I will be driving 35 extra minutes for service and parts from now on.
