Alpine or Impulse

Looking to turbo a nytro this winter. Just wondering what kit to go with. Im looking for good power, reliability and good customer service. What are everyones opinions?

my vote is Impulse, just finished installing the race kit, very nice kit, and you will not find a kit that has better throttle response, I had a rear mount last year and it was a nice kit and did everything thing advertised, but it was not as fast or have the throttle response the impulse has, when you look at the distance between the turbo and motor between the two its obvious which one has the better throttle response, and I don,t care what you do with tuning you can not make up the difference.

I think all the kits are good, my experience is that Alpine has always served me with great service, I am 8hrs away and they have answered any questions or problems I have occured. That's my own opinion.

Isn't Alpines kit also a front mount that is directly behind the motor?? I think they deal with the fuel tank a bit different but the style of the kit is the same.

I have a couple buddies with the Powderlites kit on thier Nytro and they love them. I have a Powderlites kit on my Apex and I love the service I get from Dave.

I have had the priviledege of riding with Paul from "Impulse" several times. His stuff runs great! He is a fantastic guy that treats people right. We live close to Paul, so for me it would be no contest, I would go with the "Impulse" in a heart beat.

I cannot imagine someone not being very happy with an "Impulse Turbo" and Paul's customer service.

You would not go wrong with either one. I was looking at the Impulse kit this fall, but decided to go with Alpine. If you look at the 2 kits, they have alot in common...short header, garret turbo, custom tank, PL box. I really like the service I have always got from Alpine, and it is Canadian eh!

The Impulse race kit is a stronger kit, but no need to spend the extra cash unless you feel the need to run over 17 lbs boost. It is cool though.

While I like Paul and think he has a great kit, I will beg to differ with your assumption that it has the best throttle response out there. Like you mentioned, you cannot tune out the difference....

i cant wait for winter ...im gonna boot jack that old guy from alberta !!

You are going to have to start getting up in the morning to beat him.;)You Sask guys are on Darko time in the am...Come to think of it, you are up for the same number of hours, just a 4 hour overlap on each end.:) I know for a fact that that Old Guy has been seriously training :beer;all summer for that event...So bring your Boots. :p

Looking forward to Revy for the Snow as well..lol

Noob. that clip was sent in to Letterman for Stupid Human Tricks:o...still waiting for the call...

let's go bit$h slap, I mean boot slap letterman if it dont' get played.

He might have seen you two lock legs and said, I don't want to see anymore not realizing what was in store for him.lmao

Not sure how you guy's are getting all your parts from impulse. I have friends up here that are getting a little upset that there parts aren't in yet. I guess the parts they are waiting for are pretty important when it comes to sleds. One is waiting for his SEAT the other waiting on his TURBO HOUSING!!!!! No big deal i'm sure they don't need either of those things to go into the hills. The impulse may rule the roost but the delivery of the parts is getting old fast. Paul's got to get stuff movin or he's going to get blasted on here which won't look good for impulse. jmo!!!
